"SHUT THE FUCK UP" Sapnap screams as his character runs off the track. Both Dream and Nova howls in laughter, Dream with his iconic wheeze.

Nova teases Sapnap, "You're so shit at this game." The boy responds with his voice heightened, "It's not my fault that Mario Kart is so shit! This controller is like broken or something!"

Dream slaps his knee, "Are you sure that you didn't break it from baby raging so hard?"

Grumbling, Sapnap shoots back at his dear friend, "I'm not baby raging."

Laughs calming down, Nova offers to him, "We can change the map if you want?"

Salty, Sapnap shakes his head, "No it's fine."

Before they start another round of the rage inducing game, Nova sighs through her nose, turning off her controller. "I'm tired so I'm gonna take a break."

Dream nods, Sapnap glancing at the girl laying down on the sofa behind them.

Nova watches as Dream and Sapnap fuck around in the game, racing through colorful and creative maps. Their shouts are enough to make Nova smile.

Feeling bored, Nova pats Sapnap's head. Combing through his soft, silky strands of hair, she smiles. She begins to softly braid his hair, humming a gentle tune.

Curious, Sapnap turns around to look at her, starting off before getting cut off, "What-"

Nova shushed him, "Shush I'm braiding your hair."

Sapnap turns back around, a small, tiny smile on his lips.

Dream watches the two with thin, pressed lips. He took in the sight of Sapnap's tinged pink cheeks, and sweet smile. His eyes flit over to Nova, the completely relaxed girl with the same small sweet smile. Turning his attention back to the game, he shows no emotions.

After a while of the two boys having a blast while playing games, they quiet down, ending their game sesh. They turn around to meet the sight of Nova sleeping on the couch.

Dream shakes his head and gets up, presumably to grab a blanket for the girl. Sapnap stays, quietly admiring her long, soft eyelashes, the small and quiet breaths she took, and how it was as if the world had created a bubble around her so she could sleep peacefully.

In admiration, a smile creeps onto his face. He sighs, proping his face up with his elbow on the couch. He whispers to her sleeping form, "You're actually kinda cute when you're asleep."

Sapnap hums the same sweet tune that Nova had been humming earlier. He lightly brushed a lost strand of hair away, tucking it to the side. "You're not all that tough and mean."

Unbeknownst to Dream leaning on the wall with a blanket in clutch, he watches his best friend of multiple years admire the girl he had protected since childhood. His blank face cracked, a sad smile forming. He speaks to himself, "Maybe it's time to pass on the torch."

Pushing himself off the wall using his elbow, he sighs. Walking over to the couch, catching Sapnap's attention. Sapnap moves away from the girl, taking his arms off the couch.

Dream gives a small smile, acknowledging him. Covering the girl with the fuzzy blanket. Giving a gentle shove and a cheeky wink.

Sapnap becomes red, knowing that he had been caught red handed. "Don't tell her, please?"

"Yea of course." With a sad smile, Dream turns, walking out of the room. When he was out of sight, he clenched his fists and jaw. With his back on the wall, he angrily rests his head, looking up towards nothing.

"Fuck." Dragging a hand down his face, he laughs.

"I'll miss you."
