I've never been a fan of Peggy Carter as she appears in the MCU, and I do think Steve Rogers could find happiness in the 21st century, with the right woman. So I set out to create that person. I've written a number of women, and Ellie's my favorite. Even with mutant powers, she feels pretty real to me. I'd want her for a friend.

Also, I just really wanted Steve to have some good sex. I'm confident it'll only get better. 😁
