"Did you hear? Another farm was attacked."

"Stealing children, eh? There's been a lot lately."

"I'd steal some if I could, too."

"All the good meat only goes to the nobles."

"It would be nice to get meat from a top-class farm, even once."

"Think the meat from Grace Field Farm is still on the run?"

"That happened almost a year ago, they're probably all dead by now."

That was true.

Not that the kids had been dead, no, of course not.

But it had been a year since the kids had escaped from grace fields, and it had been around eleven months since the kids escaped the bunker, now they were living in old temple ruins, by a local demon town.

Yes, demon town.

And.. Y/N had set up a specific set of rules as well.

"Don't eat anything that is brought back from the town unless you're positive you've eaten it before, let one of us make sure it's safe for humans. Blow out all lanterns by eight-thirty unless you're using them for something. No sleeping near the exits. No leaving the temple without one of us. No going up to the tower without permission. And lastly, clean cuts with rubbing alcohol as soon as you find them.

Christie sat on top of one of the towers, Dominic with him, as he noticed a group of five "demons" approaching.

The kids had tied a string to a stick, a bell tied to the end of that string, while it dangled down into the castle from the tower, the stick resting on a hole in the tower floor, it worked as a way to alert the others inside of the temple.

In which Christie knelt down next to the stick, rattling it a few times as Anna glanced up from what she was doing.

The kids inside hid behind walls, or pillars, before realizing who the "demons" were.

"Welcome back!"

"Thanks, sorry we're late." Emma apologized, removing the hood and demon mask from her face.

"How'd it go?" Asked Thoma, peaking into the baskets that Ray and Y/N were holding.

Y/N set the basket down, removing their mask with a sigh. "Not much luck today, sorry, guys." Y/N said, as the kids shook their heads.

"It's okay!"

"We'll be fine!"

Y/N, Don, Emma, Ray, and Gilda had made demon masks over their time in the castle, along with cloaks and such to hide their appearance as humans, making it easy for them to sneak in and out of the demon town to get food for the day, sometimes even week.
