"Why? When we're your food?" Ray asked, only getting a smile in response from the girl.
"Where is everyone?!" Emma frantically asked. "You finished preparing food.. left them with Y/N.. don't tell me—"
"Hey, Mujika. You went too far, you took the wrong path again," A lower voice stated, as Ray and Emma glanced up at him.
"Is that why you came to get us?" Mujika asked. "Your timing is atrocious. And with that weapon." She rested her hand on her hip, pointing at the spear Sonju had placed over his shoulder.
"Of course. It's be dangerous if one of those kids touches it," he responded, jabbing a finger down the hall, before kneeling down to meet eye level with Ray and Emma. "What's wrong with them? They're pale."
"Are they safe?!" Emma yelled. "Wheres Y/N?! Are they really with the kids?!"
Sonju shifted out of the way, pointing down the hall as Emma turned heel, running down the hall, as Ray followed her.
"Turn left at the end." Sonju called out, watching the kids run off.
Ray and Emma came to a halt at the end of the hall as Emma's eyes widened. "Everyone!" She said as Y/N glanced over at the two. "Emma, you're awake! Ray!"
Y/N rushed up from the group, as well as the other kids to crowd Ray and Emma, while Y/N wrapped their arms around Ray, him returning the favor. "Oh my god.." they mumbled, letting out a chuckle. "I thought you died—"
Despite them helping with his bandages, they couldn't help but have a gut feeling of worry.
"Me and Emma thought you guys died, so, guess we're even?" Ray questioned, the two pulling away. "Why would you think that?" Y/N asked.
"Huh..? They're..?"
"Demons, yeah, I know. But they fed the kids.. Mujika managed to lift their spirits while making dinner, so there's that."
A few of the kids bombarded Emma in a hug, nearly knocking her over as Y/N's attention snapped towards them. "Hey! Hey! She's not all better yet! Knock it off!" They scolded as the kids let go, plopping back down in their seats on the floor.
"Are you all safe?" Emma asked, placing her hand on the side of Y/N's and Gilda's faces, Y/N leaning into the warmth of her hand, while the group nodded.
"I'm sorry to have scared you." Mujika began, coming from down the hall. "But we don't intend any harm on you." She removed her hood, allowing three braids to rest on her shoulders, and down her back. "My name is Mujika, and this is Sonju. We don't eat humans. That's why we never intended to eat you or the others. W-We still don't, by the way. Rest at ease."
