•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••"Norman..it's you.." Emma choked out, staring at the boy as a few stray tears landed on the pathway.
"Emma." Norman said, before Emma shoved her way into his embrace, Y/N and Ray watching with widened eyes.
"I've missed you, dearly. I'm glad you're okay." Norman said next to the girls head, listening to her occasional sobs. "I can't believe it." She whispered. "You're alive, Norman.. you're.." the girl pulled away from Norman, cupping his face in her hands. "You're really, truly Norman? Right? It's not some look-alike, or a ghost, right..? Why? How? You were shipped out that night.." she rambled on, tugging at the boy's cheeks.
Emma's hands fell at her sides, while Norman smiled. "I was sent to a different farm. And you..." Norman placed his hand on the side of Emma's face, only to find that her ear was nothing more than a bump of folded bandage.
"Oh, this? I left it at the house. Same with Y/N and Ray! But we were able to escape!" Emma said cheerfully, moving out of the way as Y/N stepped forwards, Norman's gaze landed on them as his expression softened for only a moment, before Y/N's hand landed across Norman's cheek with a harsh slap.
Norman moved his hand up to his cheek, Y/N's hand still raised in the air from their previous slap, their eyes widened, not only with sadness but with anger, tears threatening to spill out right in front of everyone.
"How mean." Norman hummed. "You forget and retaliate before even saying hello."
Norman scanned over their face, furrowing his eyebrows at the sight of the mark left below their eye.
"Where did you get that?" He asked, a seemingly worried expression on his face.
"Pursuers from the house." They said, mildly irritated that he decided to bring it up.
Ray and Emma watched with wide eyes.
Why was it that Y/N always acted recklessly on emotion?
"But, you saw something cool, right?" Norman glanced back up at Y/N, visibly seeing tears falling now as their hand fell back at their side. "Wipe that smug look off of your face.." they whispered out, before Norman placed his hand on their cheek. "You don't understand how happy I am that you're alive.. don't try to pull some stunt like that.. ever again, damn idiot." They said, leaning into the warmth of his hand as he smiled.
Norman scanned over Y/N's face once more, glancing over at Ray and quickly doing the same, they both looked tired, and had soot on their faces, Emma, not as much, but one thing that stood out the most was the hair pin pinned to Y/N's cloak.
