14. Cedric.

it has been one month since the one year anniversary of your fathers passing, you were doing a lot better now. this past couple of weeks you went into a really bad slump, you rarely talked to anyone, you went to class then right back to your dorm. you stayed in bed mainly, but with a lot of help and support from your friends you were getting better. you started going out more and for the most part you went back to being your normal giddy, sarcastic self. there was a few times where you just weren't feeling it that day and stayed in the dorms, but it was better. you were better.

it was Monday, 6:08 a.m. your first class did not start till 8:30. so you had a while. the first triwizard task was on Wednesday, Ron's best friend Harry, a.k.a the chosen one was a champion, so was your friend Cedric from Hufflepuff house. the 2 other champions were from the other schools, Fleur Delacour and Viktor Krum. you and all your friends were going to watch the first task, nobody knew what it was yet though, so everyone in the school was anxious. with all the time you had before your first class you decided you would go and see cedric and talk to him, you were hesitant about it because even though you and cedric were friends it was known to everyone that he had major feelings for you, and even though you in no way returned them everytime you and him hung out it always started some sort of unwanted drama.

once you got dressed into your robes and packed up you school bag you headed off to the Hufflepuff boys dorms. once you got to the common which was a lot different from your Gryffindor one, you walked up the stair and down a long hall until you reached a door on the left side that had a yellow name card that read "Diggory" and had a bunch of quidditch stickers including a big 06 because that was his number. he was Hufflepuffs team captain and a seeker.

you gently knocked on the door 3 times, and stood for a moment before it opened, Cedric stood in the door way with black sweatpants and a yellow quidditch jumper on, he was rubbing his eyes looking like he just woke up. " oh sorry did i wake you up, ill go" he laughed a little " you didn't wake me up i've been up for like ten minutes but i need like an hour to fully wake up you know and hey y/n" your both laughed " hey Ced" he pushed the door open wider to let you in and you both sat on his bed.

"so what brings you here" he says to keep from sitting in awkward silence. " i just wanted to check on you, see how your feeling about the first task in a few days" he sighed and slouched down on the bed " i think ill be ok but i'm worried, do you know what it is?" he asked, you shook your head no in return and he shot up from the bed, " how haven't you heard, its dragons. i'm not sure exactly what about dragons or what we have to do but its dragons." your jaw dropped to the floor. "DRAGONS" you yelled, "yeah" he yelled and you both started to laugh, "crazy i know but i have class soon so i'm going to head to breakfast after i get ready, you can stay and wait ill only be like five minutes, you just smiled and nodded. he grabbed some clothes from the dresser and went to the bathroom. he was right though, he would only be five minutes. he came out in his robes and put on his shoes " ready?" you jolted up from the bed " of course."

when you to got to the great hall you were laughing and just over all having good conversation, it was good too catch up with your friend. as the doors to the hall opened you were laughing so loud it caught the attention of some people at the Gryffindor table. you finished talking with Cedric as you reached your house table, " aright, i'll see you later Ced" he smiled and waved as he headed to the Hufflepuff table. your the twins and angie were at the table because they all had early classes today. you sat down next to fred and when you looked at him he had a death glare on his face staring Cedric down until he reached his table. with his eyes still burning into the back of Cedric's head he spoke to you in a dark voice " what the hell were you doing with Diggory" when he finished his sentence he finally looked at you. you stared back at him with the same angry glare he was giving you. "what's it matter to you" you said sternly. "he's a fucking prick" he said back "no he's not, he didn't do anything wrong" he turned his head away from you and started playing with the food in his plate, " he's probably just trying to get into your pants" you shook you head at him in disbelief "fuck you, no he isn't" he aggressively dropped his fork and looked back at you " come on the whole bloody school knows he fancy's you"  you felt your insides burn with angry " that doesn't mean he is trying to get into my pants, you fucking asshole" and with that you got up and stormed off , the last thing you heard before you got out the doors was George say " great fucking job Fred"

this is exactly what you didn't want to happen. you knew every time you hung out with Cedric something happened. and now with whatever the hell is going on with you and fred it would be worse than before. you just weren't ready to be fighting this early in the morning. you went back your dorm since you still had another hour and a half until your class started. once you got there you slammed the door and cast a silencing spell. you screamed fuck and punch a whole in the wall. you needed to relax, but you couldn't, though there was one thing that always helped. you grabbed some cash out of your trunk and headed to Neville's dorm.

you got to the door and knocked loudly a few time before he came out. " Nev, i really need to buy rn do you have some weed, please say yes, please, please, please" you laughed and let you into the room "yeah i have some, how much?" you looked to see how much money you had. " do you have prerolls"  he shook his head yes and you handed him the money " as much as that will get me" he furrowed his brows " are you sure, this is 60$" you nodded yes and he went to go get the weed, " here is 5 prerolls and some  extra bud because you spent so much" you smiled at him and grabbed the items " thank you Nev" you gave him a quick hug and headed back to your dorm.

the first thing you did was use a spell to fix the wall, then you grabbed one of the blunts and a lighter out of you trunk placing the rest of the weed in you school bag. you sat on the window seat bringing your knees up to your chest, you brought the blunt to your lips and sucked in as you lit it, inhaling letting the warm smoke fill your lungs, after a few hit you were finally relaxing. but then someone knocked on the door " who is it" you said frantically trying to wave away the smoke that was in the air " George" you sighed with relief  and took another drag " come in" as soon as the door opened his face lit up " oh hell yeah" he came over and sat on the opposite side of the window seat sitting to the same position as you. you passed him the blunt with two fingers " aren't you supposed to be in class" you said as he took a long drag " asked to use the bathroom, said i wasn't feeling well. i wanted to check on you, you seemed really angry when you left" he took another pull " you missed the hole i punched in the wall, but i'm ok now i just don't get why he was so mad " he handed to blunt back " he's an asshole" he laughed, and you took another hit "definitely" you laughed. you guys smoked until the blunt was finished getting very high, " i bought hella from Neville" you said " bet, i was gonna buy too, should i?" "definitely" you both said at the same time. " alright well i have to get back to class even though i am having a much better time here" he said getting up and headed to the door "yeah i have class soon anyway" and soon enough the both of you were in class, time goes by so fast when your high.

you too sat in the corner laughing and laughing when Fred walked in, followed buy Katie and angie followed by Lee. you forgot all your friends were in this class. you and George looked at each other and tried not to laugh as everyone sat down around you guys. of course Fred was next to you. " are you guys high?" Angie said as she moved George's face around looking at his bloodshot eyes. he looked back at you  and you both burst out into laughter. " i'll take that as a yes." she said " oi, you guys didn't want to invite me" Lee added. "oops" you said. you turned and look at Fred resting your chin on your hands. " Freddie are you mad at me, because i was mad at you but i'm ok now" he laughed " no i'm not mad at you, i just don't get why you would-" you cut him off  " i'm not fighting with you right now" you turned back to the rest of you friends " we all have a free period next, and i have 4 more prerolls and some extra bud" you wiggled your brows at them.

they all got the message. you all sat through a super boring class that was a bit more fun at the beginning for you and George since you guys were high, but near the end of class your highs started wearing off " i'm hungryyy" you said putting you forehead on the table " me too" George said, " the munchies getting you guys" lee said and you flipped him off. you all were soon dismissed, Angie and Katie went to the kitchens to get food, and Lee and George went to go buy more bud from Neville. you and Fred headed up to the girls dorm, this was going to be a fun free period for the six of you.
