3. arrived.

as you are getting off the train, you can't stop thinking about the fact that george was right. fred was flirting with you a lot more, but why. you were not mad about it tho and you were gonna start doing it back. but after that morning all you could think about was the butterflies that he gave you. did you like him, i mean you always had a slight crush so i mean maybe a little.

you guys quickly made your way through the Gryffindor common room to the dorms, where you and the twins went your separate ways them going to the boys you to the girls. " meet you down here in 15" fred says before running up the stairs. you blushed slightly making your way upstairs.

you start getting undressed and put on your robes, you put your shirt and pants a a dirty clothes pile but you couldn't seem to do the same with fred's flannel you didn't want it to lose freddie's smell. it smelt of sweet pumpkin and cinnamon coffee. and you loved it.

you hung up his flannel on the corner of you bed and made your way to the bathroom to freshen up a bit. you wondered what was taking Angelina and Katie so long to get here? you just finished getting ready and realized you had to meet the boys in the common room so you could head to lunch in the great hall.

you head down the stairs to the common room where fred and george were already waiting for you. they both look over at you at stand up starting towards you. you met fred's gaze and couldn't seem to look away. were his eyes always so beautifully piercing?

"look at us matching" fred says while giving you a little spin showing you his outfit. you laughed because everyone was matching. " yes freddie so cute. why don't we do it more often?" you say sarcastically. " ew it's still gross guys" george says while looking between the two of you. " oh shush Georgie a little banter never hurt anyone" fred stirs at his brother. you laughed as the three of you walked hand in hand on the way to the great hall.

as you walk through the giant doors of the great hall, you spot you're 3 other best friends "Angelina, Katie, Lee!" you yell and they all look at you jumping out of their seats to greet you and the twins embracing you in a tight hug " i missed you three so much" Katie says " yeah so did we" Lee and Angie said in unison. the 6 of you made your way back to where the three of them were sitting. george sat next and angie, we all know they have a little thing going on. same thing with Katie and lee. i guess that only leaves you and fred. you never noticed that till now.

everyone was eating having a great time catching up with each other when george and Angelina announced that they are officially dating. "WHAT, that's wonderful!" you said. " finally mate, you've only fancied her since 3rd year" fred snakes at george. he blushed furiously. " wait really" lee says while looking between them and back at Katie, the both of them red as tomato's. "yea why?" george says. " well erm- i- well we" he looked over at Katie again reassuring that he could say what he was going too " me and Katie sorta have the same news. we made it official about 2 months ago" everyone looked baffled.

" congratulations ladies" you say leaning over and high giving both girls. " y/n now there is only you and fred left" Katie whispered in your ear. you blushed harder than ever. whispering back you tell her " i don't think he likes me like that even if i like him" you pull back and she looks at you in shock. you never admitted that before " YOU WHAT, no way, we will talk about this later" she says raising a brow at you. you sat back down next to fred more flustered than ever. everyone was so confused.

"what did she say to you?" lee says questioningly. "more importantly what did you say back" fred added. you looked at Katie you face getting redder by the second. "oh nothing nothing" Katie says smirking at you.

fred looked at you and leaned down to whisper in your ear " i will find out what that was all about no matter what i have to do" he pulls back and looks you right in the eyes. so piercing, you adored them. you now motion for him to lean down so you could bring your lips to his ear " i'll never spill, no matter what you do" you said in an almost flirty tone. he sits back up straight and looks down at you now where everyone can hear him. " we will see about that now won't we" he said sternly and looks flirtatiously at you. that was so hot oh my god you think to yourself. " what was that all about" Katie says " oh nothing nothing" fred said mimicking how Katie said it just mere minutes ago. she went to speak again but was interrupted but the head master.

"this year hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event. the triwizard tournament" dumbledore speaks. you head the twins speak up and in unison say " brilliant" the headmaster spoke again.

"the triwizard tournament brings together three schools for a series of magical contests, from each school a single student is selected to compete" all 6 of you dozed off into conversation after that and then suddenly a great halls doors swing open leading in different students from different schools. after that dumbledore told everyone you had to be 17 to compete in the tournament in which the twins responded by yelling "THATS RUBBISH" . after everything, you all headed back you your dorms for the night.

the twins wanted to find a way to put their names in the goblet, we were all sitting in the common room whilst they were trying to figure it out. 3 hours had soon past. " give it a rest guys" lee said as he snuggled up with Katie on the love seat. "your probably right" george said while getting up and making his way over to the opposite love seat where angie was sitting.

you were on the larger couch sitting upright with a pillow placed in your lap.

the two couples had both about nodded off so the 4 of them said goodnight leaving you and fred in the common room alone. he was still trying to figure out how to do this. " come on freddie, leave it be for the night you have all of tomorrow to figure it out" he sighed " yeah i guess so" he placed his pencil and paper down and looked up at you on the couch.

" mind if i join you?" he said. you look at him sweetly "not at all " and you motioned for him to come sit by you. he was super tired and you could tell. "do you want to head up to bed freddie, you look beat" you said while he was getting up off the floor.

" no, i'm ok. i just wanna stay down here with you if that's alright" " of course it's alright" you tapped the pillow on you lap motioning for him to place his head there. he grabbed a blanket off the coffee table and lied on the couch with his head in your lap. you ran your fingers through his hair a few times before noticing what you were doing, you quickly stopped.

" i-erm sorry freddie i didn't realize i guess it was reflex or something" you said frantically " don't apologize y/n i liked it. that's why i didn't stop you. it's comforting" you placed your hand back in his hair and blushed hard. " your blushing again y/n"
"no i'm not" you said quickly and turning your head away so he couldn't see your face.

he propped himself up on his arm and grabbed your chin and made you look at him. " it's ok y/n i was too a little." you smiled at him softly. "let's lay down and get some rest y/n" you nodded in agreement.

you moved so you were laying on your back, fred laid his head on your chest and snaked a arm around your waist. you used the hand closest to fred and started rubbing his back sometimes switching to his hair and back to his back. your other free hand placed atop the one fred had around your waist. your legs intertwined with his.

you laid there taking in the sweet moment you were having with fred, you were so content, it was wonderful silence and you could once again smell the sweet pumpkin and cinnamon coffee smell that you love so much.

you both fell
soundly asleep in the middle of the common room.
