1. the end of summer.

it was the end of summer, school starts in 2 days. you were excited to say the least. you had not seen your best friends all summer due to the fact that you decided to stay with your uncle lupin. well he isn't your actual blood uncle, more of an adopted one but he loved you like you were his own. and you couldn't be more grateful. "now we haven't forgot anything, have we?" your uncle said. "nope i don't believe so" you quickly replied. he sighed with relief thankful that the two of you didn't have to go back to diagon ally after having been there all day getting your supplies for the new school year. your uncle motioned for you to finish packing your trunk and left to go back to the kitchen.

about 20 minutes later you hear lupin yell "y/n almost ready to head out, dear" "yes coming right now!" you spit out as quick as possible, because you were more excited than ever. you we going to the burrow for the next two days and heading out to school from there.

you grab your new owl who's name was dart, because of how quickly she could get from place to place and your trunk and headed towards the kitchen where you were greeted by your uncle cleaning his tea cup he had just finished using. " ready?" you state. "couldn't be more ready" he said with a smile. "we are going to be traveling by port key to get to the burrow, sound good?" "of course" you reply. the two of you head to the little garden outside of remus's cottage and place your hands on a little blue and pink flowerpot, suddenly you feel your feet lift up of the ground and you start spinning. next thing you know you and all your stuff are landed in a large field about 50 feet from the burrow.

you smile greatly and turn to your uncle " i'm going to miss you so much" you embrace him in a tight hug, without pulling away you say " thank you for all you do for me, and letting me stay with you this summer" he pulls away and looks at you happily. " i could not be more happy that you stayed with me, you are welcome any time, i'm going to miss you greatly. you will write me won't you?" you look up at him " yes i will write to you" "good now you better head inside before those crazy boys eat all the breakfast" you give him a quick hug before he left. leaving you standing in a field with your things. you start heading towards the burrow and knock on the door.

you are greeted by the one and only ron Weasley, the younger brother of your two best friends, you had grown too adore ron, turns out all the Weasley's are quite wonderful. "y/n! i missed you" he says pulling you into a hug. " y/n? Y/N IS HERE" you hear distantly in the background before you could process what was happening you were being tackled into a hug by none other than Fred and George Weasley.

they let you go and you took a good look at them, knowing you owed them each 2 gallons because they won the bet the three of you made at the end of school year. they had not gotten hair cuts. you put a hand on each of their heads and ruffled their hair up. " where is our money y/n" George says with a slight smirk. " yeah, y/n where is it" Fred states while fixing his hair. you chuckle a little, "let me get inside first would you" "fine, fine" they say in unison. " we missed you so much y/n" you hear Fred say and George following saying the same. " i missed you guys more" you individually gave them each a tight hug before turning to head inside.

you made your way inside greeting everyone as you went. " you can take your stuff to ginny's room" molly told you. " i'll take it" Fred says grabbing your stuff and running upstairs before you can say anything.

harry and Hermione were also staying at the burrow. they are ron's best friends who you have grown to like just as you did ron. the next two days were full of wonderful chaos and you loved ever second of it. you were slightly sad that you knew when you woke up in the morning you would have to leave for school.
