Malia pov:

Holding my breath I kept my gaze on my hands which were clasped loosely Infront of me. I could do this there is nothing to be afraid off... I thought to myself as the I heard the large door to the lounge area open. Letting out a soft breath I slowly glanced up towards the entry way, before taking my first steps towards the room. Here goes nothing. I internally gulped as I crossed the large bedroom towards the living area, curious as to who Ingrid had let in. Whoever it is, I'm still nervous. Okay scratch that, terrified is a much much better word for everything that I'm feeling right now.

Oh god! What have I got myself into?! My thought practically screamed at me as I continued towards the lounge area of the... my chambers. Stepping through the large arched door way, I glanced over to Ingrid who was stood over to one side with a warm smile on her lips and tears pooling in the corners of her eyes. Returning her smile I then turned to face the room properly and finally see who had arrived.

"Loki" I greeted softly, somewhat surprised that he was here. He had disappeared almost as we had arrived in Asgard, and I didn't see him when I was shown around. That could be because this place is absolutely massive, or because he was ignoring me. Why he would do that I'm unsure of but it seems logical and illogical at the same time. Loki was the one who told me I was brave enough to do this when we were back at the SHEILD base, so why ignore me. Softly shaking my head, I broke from my trance and focused again. Loki was smiling softly at me, dressed in what I could only presume was his fancy wear for the dinner tonight. It was kind of like a suit but of course a lot nicer. The green and gold complemented each other well and worked with his pale skin and raven hair.

Making a small motion with his hand, he continued to smile at me. Furrowing my eyebrows in confusion for a second I hesitated before turning slowly for him. "A bit different from a SHEILD track suit, huh." I joked as I turned on the spot, the light fabric from my dress swirling around my legs. Coming to face him again I smiled mischievously , having caught sight of Ingrid who had made a face at the mention of, as she put it those crimes against fashion. Fair to say that she didn't seem to care much for the regulation training attire that I had been wearing upon arrival. In hindsight I probably should have worn something else. First impressions are important, but Odin and the others didn't seem to mind much. Anyway, I would look like a princess when introduced to the people in a few days' time and that's what mattered.

"Not bad" Loki hummed out as a brighter smile formed on his face, "You look like a true Asgardian now." He mused stepping closer to me, hands coming to rest on my shoulders. Returning the smile I looked up at him, feeling slightly reassured about what I was wearing and everything that was going on. "Well Princess, I am here to accompany you to the feast." Loki exclaimed after a few moments, a mysterious glint in his eyes. Nodding slowly I took a shaky breath. How had I managed to forget about that. That's why I'm all dressed but like this. I scolded myself with my thoughts as Loki started to guide me from my chambers. Seemingly choosing to ignore how nervous I looked, or simply not caring. Could be either.

As we walked in silence along the vast golden corridors, each step brought us closer and closer to one of the halls where the feast was being held. It was only a small one, with my fathers family , the warriors three, lady sif and I believe a few of Odins most trusted friends. But I was still really scared. I didn't want to mess this up. With each step towards our destination I could feel the pit of dread building inside of me
Footsteps echoed through the halls as we walked in comfortable silence. My eyes roaming to take in every new detail I saw as we walked. The palace, or what I had seen of it so far, was truly beautiful. There was so much detail and delicate design in each piece, and too me it was breathtaking. Rounding yet another corner the large doors to the banquet hall came into view, and my breath caught. No going back know. I told myself with a small gulp. I could already feel my hands trembling slightly, knowing Loki could feel it too as I held onto his arm.

"You will be fine. It's only Odin and a few others. Nothing to worry about" Loki reassured as we finally stood at the doors. Taking a shallow breath, I watched as two guards stepped into view opening the doors. Those sound like famous last words. I mused as the bright room came into view.
