Malias Pov-
Zipping up the top of my blue and grey backpack I looked around my room once again checking I had packed everything I would be needing. Clothes, check. Make up bag, check. Phone and iPod chargers, check. iPod, check. Phone, not check. Spinning in a circle I scanned the bedroom for my cell phone, but didn't see it. Letting out a small groan I stared checking my pockets and the top of my desk in an attempt to locate the stupid thing. Moving over to my bed I started pulling the deep purple and white duvet off of the bed and onto the floor. Bingo! I thought as I spotted my cell sticking out from underneath the mass of pillows that lay on my bed. Climbing over the large duvet that sat on the floor I snatched up the phone in triumph at finding it, without completely trashing my bedroom. Phone, check. I thought as I returned the duvet to its rightful place upon my queen-size bed, before walking back over to where my backpack was sitting. Grabbing the backpack, I slung it over my shoulders and headed over to my bedroom door. Taking one last quick look at the room I exited out into the long corridor and pulled the door closed behind myself. As I walked along the silent corridors of HQ I couldn't help but feel nervous. The strange thing was it wasn't a bad nervous, it was more of an excited nervous. Like when you're going to see your favourite band at a concert, you are super excited but also really nervous. In truth I had imagined this for as long as I can remember. I had imagined getting to finally see Asgard for myself and learning about the part of me that my father had kept hidden for so many years. Nearing the large double doors that lead outside to the launch pads, I started to feel incredibly sick. What if I didn't get accepted there or if I couldn't learn quick enough or what if my father found out .I thought as worry started building inside my chest. My father would go absolutely ballistic if he knew I had spoken to his father and brother, let alone going up to Asgard. I don't think I'm strong enough for this. I thought out loud to myself as I stood behind the large doors contemplating going through them or not."Your stronger than you think. Don't let fear stop you from doing what you wish to." A sudden voice from behind me said in a calm voice causing me to jump in surprise. Spinning around to face the speaker, I saw Loki standing a few feet away from me. Coming over to my side Loki placed a cold hand onto my bare shoulder and looked down at me with a small smile. Glancing up at the raven-haired man I realised how short I was compared to him. Loki stood at around 6ft 4 and I was about 5ft 3 so only came up to this chest. "Come. We shouldn't keep Odin waiting." Loki stated after a few moments of silence between us. Placing his hand onto my lower back I allowed Loki to lead me through the large double doors to the launch pads. Pushing down my fears I continued walking along with Loki towards where Odin and Fury stood waiting on us. I walked along in silence with Loki until we had come to stand beside the two talking men. They seemed to be getting along just fine and I could even see Fury smiling as they talked about something or another. Having noticed out presence both turned to face us before Fury directed us towards a large empty helipad.
"You will be fine, I know it. When have I ever been wrong about stuff like this." Fury told me in a low voice as he held onto my shoulders, just like he had done a thousand times before when I was unsure about something. Fury was right though, he hadn't been wrong about many of the things that I had been unsure about. Giving a curt nod, I leaned into a quick hug before making my way over to where Odin and Loki stood waiting. Stepping up beside my grandfather I saw Fury wave slightly before giving a nod to Odin and taking his leave. Fury would never admit it to anyone but he didn't like sending anyone into the un known, even if he did trust my grandfather and uncle. Okay maybe just my Grandfather on the note of trust.
"Hold onto me, okay Malia. Once we land you might feel a bit dizzy but that's completely normal." Odin stated calmly before a sudden bright light surrounded us. Closing my eyes, I grasped my grandfather's hand while he wrapped an arm around my shoulders. The force of the wind that suddenly wrapped around us caused me to grasp onto my grandfathers hand tighter. I could no longer feel my feet touching the hard stone of the launch pad nor could I see what was around us. Everything had become a blur and I leaned into my grandfather with my eyes closed. Just as soon as it had begun it had seemed to end.
Slowly I opened my eyes, having felt ground beneath my feet once again. My head felt kind of foggy as I glanced up at Odin who didn't look at all affected by the experience. "You should recover from the dizziness in a few moments, if I am remembering correctly your mother was almost sick when she used the Bifrost." My grandfather told me while chuckling at the memory and my discomfort. Another deep chuckle brought my attention to another person who was standing a few feet away. This new person was clad in bright golden armour and stood in the middle of the dome like room with what looked like a sword in his grasp. The dizziness had started to fade and I could now get a proper look around the round golden room. Looking back to the man who I had not yet been introduced to I gave Odin a small smile. I was feeling much better now that the dizziness had left me. As I continued to glance around the dome room, I furrowed my eyebrows as part seemed familiar. Not like Deja-vu but more like when you hear someone talking about something and you can't quite remember if you have heard it somewhere before. I could feel eyes on me as I continued looking around, so I quickly turned my attention back to the three other people within the room.
"So, if that was the Bifrost that we came through, then this is the gateway to Asgard and the other realms. And that would make you the keeper of the Bifrost and an eternal seer." I mumbled out as I glanced around the golden chamber once again. " And if that were true that would mean that your Heimdall." I finished my rambling as I approached the silent group once again, feeling kind of nervous as to how they would react to what I had been muttering about. Chuckles filled the air as my grandfather, Loki and Heimdall looked at me with smiles across their faces.
"That is correct Princess. I am Heimdall and it is an honour to finally meet you after all these years." Heimdall told me with the smile still on his face as he took one of my hands into his. Nodding back, I turned back to Odin who was the only other person in the room now, as Loki had slipped away. Frowning slightly at the thought that Loki felt the need to sneak away from us, maybe he just had stuff to get done. Shaking myself from my thoughts I glanced back up at my grandfather who was waiting by the large entrance way. Quickly waving to Heimdall, I hurried over to my grandfather who was waiting patiently for me. Walking from the large golden dome room, I walked beside my grandfather out onto the magnificent rainbow bridge. It was amazing. The entire bridge looked like it was made from crystal and sparkled in the bright sun that was still high in the sky. A gentle hand carefully guided me along in my awed state, leading the way to where two beautiful horses stood with a handful of guards. One of the horses was pure black, its mane and tail as dark as the night sky. The other was slightly smaller and was a beautiful dappled grey in colour. Taking a few steps towards the dappled grey horse I carefully reached my hand out for them to sniff before giving their large nose a soft rub. Giving a slight whinny the horse nudged at my hand causing a smile to spread across my face. Continuing to rub along the horses' nose I heard Odin chuckling while standing just behind me. "This my dear is Pegasus. He is strong and loyal, he will serve you well," Odin told me in a gentle voice as he praised the horse that stood in front of us. Glancing over my shoulder at him, I couldn't contain my bright smile. Returning the smile, Odin moved towards the large black horse, pulling himself up onto the saddle. Continuing to stroke Pegasus, I slowly walked along his side towards the saddle. "Princess, may I?" One of the golden clad soldiers asked me, motioning towards Pegasus' saddle. Giving the young man a small smile, I allowed him to place his hands onto my waist lifting me to the saddle. "Thank you" I said softly, looking down at him, smile playing on my lips. With a curt nod the young guard, returned to the main group of soldiers who were waiting. Glancing beside me to Odin, I could see a small smile also playing on his lips, before he urged his horse forward.
