"Try" - P!nk
Where there is desire there is going to be a flame
Where there is a flame, someone's bound to get burned
But just because it burns doesn't mean we're gonna die
You've gotta get up and try, try, try

Garmadon skipped over to the edge of the monastery courtyard. He approached the cabinet and picked up 2 katanas, one for himself and one for Wu.
"Here you go" Garmadon smiled and handed a katana to his younger brother, "Now we can test our skills in combat." Wu gripped the katana properly just like he was taught and got into a steady position to face Garmadon in the middle of the courtyard. The older brother did the same and they were now ready to begin.
"Okay, so the rules are simple. Whoever loses their katana first loses the game. We'll play best out of three." Garmadon explained. Wu nodded, indicating that he understood. "Alright, 3..........2..........1..........fight!" Garmadon declared.
Both boys charged at each other and their katanas collided. Each movement was quick but precise. Wu tightly gripped his katana and defended himself against Garmadon's attacks. The older brother did the same, but he didn't realize that Wu was planning to attack him from behind.
The blonde boy circled Garmadon, both of them attacking and defending until Garmadon lost sight of Wu. The younger sibling decided to make his move and charge from behind. While Garmadon wasn't looking, Wu surprise attacked him, resulting in Garmadon's katana falling.
"Oh, there you are! I didn't see you coming!" Garmadon laughed. "Guess I won this first round." Wu smiled.
The boys prepared for the second round and it began with them focusing on each other without attacking yet. Soon Garmadon made the first move and collided his katana into Wu's, which led the younger sibling to fight back.
As they kept fighting, Wu decided to loosen his grip on his katana, but Garmadon noticed and decided to take advantage. The older brother gripped his katana tight and used more force, causing Wu's katana to slip out of his hands.
"Ha! I won this time!" Garmadon exclaimed. "Don't become too confident, we still have one more round," Wu warned as he picked up his katana and prepared for the third and final round. Once Garmadon stood in his position, he counted down. "3......2.....1......fight!"
Once again, they made precise movements, each boy attempting to outsmart the other. Although Wu was younger by 2 years, he seemed to have as much skill as Garmadon in hand-to-hand combat.
The boys seemed to be fighting forever and they became tired, but this caused Garamadon to push himself harder, causing him to slam his katana a little too hard into Wu's causing the younger brother's katana to fly over the momentary gates.
"Yay I won!" Garmadon cheered. "Hey, no fair! My arm was tired!" Wu defended, attempting to give an excuse. "I was too, but I still pushed myself to the end." Garmadon smugly replied. Wu shook his head and rolled his eyes. Garamadon can sometimes be a little overconfident. If only he remained focused on the last round and didn't let his fatigue affect him, then he would've won.
"Your katana is still behind the monastery walls. You should go retrieve it." Garamadon interrupted Wu's thoughts. The blonde boy shook his head, he didn't want to risk getting in trouble for leaving the monastery let alone sneaking to the courtyard very early in the morning.
The brunette sighed, "you know, you should never put off until tomorrow what can be done today. I'll go get it for you but you have to keep watch. Okay?" Wu smiled and nodded in response. "Thank you" he whispered. "Hey, that's what brothers are for." Garamadon winked and climbed over the walls to retrieve Wu's katana.
Once he made contact with the ground, the older brother observed his surroundings. There was no one in sight. The clear dark sky surrounded the lone monastery along with a few trees and bushes.
Garmadon's eyes gazed toward a shiny object peeking out from under a bush: Wu's katana! Garmadon reached over to grab the handle, he felt a sharp pain in his hand as if something bit him. The brunette squeezed his right hand while staggering in pain. His vision became blurry and he had just enough time to notice a small green snake with red eyes quickly slither away. Within seconds, Garmadon was on the ground unconscious.
Wu was beginning to panic. It shouldn't take Garmadon this long to retrieve the katana. He paced back and forth before deciding to see where his brother was. Wu rushed over to the monastery walls, climbed on top, and jumped down.
"Garmadon!" Wu gasped in shock when he saw Garmadon's unconscious state and ran over to him. He cradled his older sibling in his arms and began to cry. "This is all my fault. I-I'm so sorry, I should've listened to you." Wu whispered in between sobs.
He felt Garmadon's heartbeat, meaning that he was still alive, however, he was worried about confessing to his father about what happened. Knowing that Garmadon couldn't respond, Wu felt that he needed to let the First Spinjitzu Master know.
"Father please come quick!" The blonde boy cried, still holding Garmadon in his arms. Within seconds, the First Spinjitzu Master rushed over to Wu with a very concerned expression. "What happened to Garmadon?? Why were you boys out here so early in the morning??" "We were just practicing what we've learned from training and then my katana flew over the wall. I was too afraid to go get it and then Garmadon went to retrieve it and now he's unconscious and it's all my fault!" Wu confessed. The First Spinjitzu Master embraced him. "I'm glad you told the truth, but now we must take care of Garmadon."
Wu's father gently lifted the older sibling and inspected his body for anything suspicious. Soon enough, he discovered a snake bite on Garmadon's right hand. The First Spinjitzu Master knew that this particular bite was from the Great Devourer, a legendary snake that would turn anyone evil.
"Come, Wu, we must go. There is only one person who can help us now." The First Spinjitzu Master stood up with Garmadon. "Who?" The blonde boy asked. His father looked into his son's eyes and responded, "Mystaké."
