"Y/N! Can you come into my office?" My boss said as he walks into the office building.
"Yes sir." You said and you stop your paperwork and get up from your office desk.
You follow your boss in his office and he closes the door behind you.
"Sit down." He said and he stand behind his desk.
"Is there something wrong?" You asked.
"I got a call from corporate and I soon realized I had to make a tough decision. I hate to say this but I'm letting you go." Your boss said.
"What?" You asked shocked.
"Corporate is having budgeted cuts and I'm losing half of my employees. I'm hurting as well and I hate doing this but there is nothing I can do. I'm sorry Y/N." Your boss said.
You sit there stunned, "You really can't do anything to save me? I can do something else here." You said.
"I'm sorry but I can't do that. You would have to have a masters for anything else." Your boss said.
"Thank you for the opportunity here." You said and stood up trying not to cry or get too upset.
"I hope you find something else. You where a wonderful employee." Your boss said and you walked out of his office.
As you walked back to your desk you began to make your stuff and went over to say goodbye to your favorite co workers and left.
Once you get into your car you decide to drive back home to tell Taylor what happened. When you walked through the door you hear Taylor shout your name,
"Y/N?" She asks shocked.
Taylor see's you holding your stuff and she see's your eyes all red and puffy.
"What's wrong?" Taylor asks
"I got laid off from work today." You said.
"Oh Y/N!" Taylor shouts and she walks over to hug you and you begin to cry.
"They let me go because of budget cuts. There was nothing they could do to let me stay." You said.
"You will find another job again soon. Maybe even a better one." Taylor said.
"I don't know. I was looking for a job so hard before I got hired there. I don't know how long I'm going to be unemployed." You said.
"I'll help you financially until you get a another job." Taylor said.
"What? No Taylor you don't have to do that." You said in prospect.
"I will. We will get through this." Taylor said.
"Thank you." You said and hugged Taylor.
