I wake up from my peaceful sleep to a loud noise.

I close my eyes to try to go back to sleep but I hear the noise louder this time.

What the hell?!

I open my eyes to figure out where is that coming from but I can't make it out.

I hear the big thump again up on the ceiling.

What?

I sit up and shake Taylor.

"Taylor." I whisper and Taylor moves and mumbles in her sleep.

"Taylor wake up!" I say louder this time waking her up.

"What is it honey?" Taylor asks.

"I keep hearing a sound." I said.

"It's probably the house settling. Go back to sleep." Taylor said.

"It's so loud." I said.

We hear the loud bump again and Taylor sits up this time.

"What was that?" She asks.

"I don't know." I said.

"Is someone breaking in?" Taylor asks turning on the bedroom light and looking for her phone.

"Should I look to see if someone is outside?" You asked

"No what if it's a person with a weapon?" Taylor asked before she called someone on the phone.

"Hello Mike? Can you come to the house really fast and check the house? I think someone is trying to break in." Taylor said.

"Come as fast as you can." Taylor said and hung up.

Taylor quickly calls another number,

"Hello yes I think someone is trying to break into my house." Taylor said.

Taylor said her address to the operator on the phone I assume is 911,

"Yes we are in our bedroom." Taylor said and made her way to the door and locked it. "Yes it's locked." Taylor said.

I suddenly get really scared now.

"Should we put anything in front of the door?" You asked.

"Should we put something in front of the door?" Taylor asked the operator.

Taylor suddenly moves some chairs in front of the door and a big cabinet chest in front of the door.

"We have stuff blocking the door." Taylor said.

"Police!!!! New York police department!!" We hear loud voices yelling from the other side of the door.

I stand behind Taylor and hold onto her hand tightly. Taylor holds onto my hand tightly as well as we continue to hear yelling from the other side of the door.

Suddenly we hear the doorknob move and the bedroom door shaking,

"New York Police department!! Is someone inside?!" A deep male's voice yelled.

"I'm the home owner!! I called the police thinking someone is breaking in." Taylor yells back.

"You can come out miss. We have detained the suspect." The man said.

I look at Taylor worried and held onto her arm.

"What if it's a trick?" I ask.

"What is going on?" The operator asked.

"The person behind the door is saying he is a police officer." Taylor said.

"We did send a police officer to check out your home. It's okay to check." The operator said.

"We will be fine." Taylor said to me.

Taylor moves the cabinet and chairs and unlocks the door.

Taylor slowly opens the bedroom door to see a man wearing a policeman uniform.

I let out a sigh of relief,

"Miss. Swift?" The officer asked.

"Yes?" Taylor asked.

"You are safe to come out now. We have detained the suspect and is now in custody." The officer said.

"Oh thank you so much." Taylor said relieved.

"How did the person get in?" You asked

"He was able to get in with some high quality construction equipment." The officer said.

"Oh shit." You replied

"We are bringing him with us and he will be held in a detention facility until he is brought to jail." The officer said.

"Thank you so much." You said.

"Do you have somewhere else to sleep tonight or do you feel comfortable staying here?" The officer asked.

"What do you want to do?" Taylor asked me.

"Can we go to our LA home? Well at least for a couple of days until we get the locks fixed?" I ask.

"Sure we can do that." Taylor said.

"We have figured out a place to stay." Taylor said to the officer.

"Have a safe flight." The officer said and walked away.

Taylor called our security and driver to our apartment. Twenty minutes later they arrive and we get into the car and driver to the airport.
