Better Off Without You

The next morning everyone was awake around 10:00 their class were in an hour.

"Where is Atsumu?" Sakusa asked

"He'll be down soon?" Yaku replied as he ate his meat bun.

Lev was right next to Yaku and on his 4 meat bun. Smiling like a dork.

"Then where's Oikawa?" Iwa asked them

"He's in his room" Tendou replied as he munchies on a bagel 🥯.

"Why is he in his room?" Ushijima asked Tendou.

"Just give him some time ya'll" Atsumu yawned as he plopped down beside Sakusa.

"He might not show it but right now he's in a lot of pain. He and his boy- ex were dating for 3 years. Oikawa confessed at the end of his 2nd year in high school and the first year was normal, he was nice, loving, and supportive, but going to college changed him some how. When January passed, that's when things took a different turn. We kept catching him with different girlfriends and every time kawa confronted him about it he apologized and then did it again. This repeated at least 4 times as far as we know. Oikawa has held onto their deteriorating relationship for 2 years. He will need time to recover and move on but until then we need to help him as much as we can" Atsumu explained as he ate his breakfast.

The table had all different types of breakfast foods made by Iwa, Yaku, and Akaashi.

"Just wondering. Who has had a boyfriend?" Lev asked

Akaashi, Atsumu, and Yaku raised their hands and put them back on their table.

"Alright. Who has broken up?" Lev asked

The same three raised their hands again and put them down.

"Are any of you in a relationship right now?" Lev was way to curious for his own good.

"The way that we broke up is hard to recover from and none of us are ready for a relationship" Akaashi told Lev with a gentle voice.

"What about Tendou?" Ushijima asked

"I have never been in a relationship and I don't think I ever will. I mean who would want a mons-" Tendou started but was cut of with a slightly raspy voice "Don't you dare say that."

Everyone turned around to see Oikawa coming down the stairs with an alien plushie.

"You are not a monster. Those a******* don't know what they were talking about. They left internal, psychological, and emotional scars on you. You are more than people give you credit for and you are more then what you see yourself as" Oikawa hugged Tendou and took a seat next to iwaizumi.

Tendou gave a little smile and whispered a small thank you before continuing to eat.

Atsumu got a notification and looked at his phone. 'It's from Osamu?" He questioned. Looking at the time he suddenly said "y'all we gotta go. We're gonna be late. It's already 10:40. Class starts in 20 minutes."

"Shoot" was heard throughout the dorm as everyone quickly ate, got ready and left.

One month has passed since Oikawa's breakup.

There was a concert that night and Oikawa was doing a bit better. He was well enough to play. He probably couldn't sing lead yet.

"Are y'all ready for the concert today" Atsumu said as he jumped up and down. He was ecstatic. They haven't sung in a while and he wanted Sakusa to come to one of their concerts.

They've all gotten a lot closer within the short span of 4 weeks. Akaashi helps Bokuto out with studying, so they could often be found at the library or just walking around.
