Chapter 12. Weird

        "Kristy! I thought I would ever see you again!" I turned around to a deep soft voice and saw Kenean's sparkling brown eyes staring right at me. This guy was beautiful in so many ways I couldn't explain. Somehow when he smiled my heart just kinda stopped and I just couldn't look away from him. " Hello Kenean." I said while my cheeks turned warm. My eyes immediately casted down to my shoes which were covered by my dress. " Hey you remember my name!" Kenean's happy voice just warmed my heart and I nodded. As it was awkward for me, I guess for Kenean it wasn't awkward. He seemed to enjoy our conversation. Kenean kept complimenting me and I thought my cheeks were on fire as he smiled his beautiful smile. And then his hand reached up and he softly touched my hair. " You know... my mother used to have lovely soft hair like yours. You hair is so beautiful and soft.." As Kenean murmured those words I wondered why his eyes seemed so sad. But I didn't want to ask him because I knew I wouldn't like the answer. As Kenean kept stroking a curl in his hand I quickly changed the conversation. As much as it made me happy to talk to Kenean, something just made me lonely.... Women started to notice Kenean's beauty and dashing figure they slowly surrounded us. I hated to be on a spotlight that I was going to walk away until someone walked behind me.

        I turned around to face the person or creature that was blocking my way and there he was. Sir Montear.... Midnight dark eyes met mine as I looked up at his face. Radiantly and perfectly his tan skin glowed like a sun gleaming, and I couldn't help but stare at his perfectly clear skin. Smooth soft brown hair. Not like mine his hair was perfectly in place. His thick dark eyebrows showed the sign of discontent. Dark midnight eyes glistening with a dark beauty inside. Soft looking light pink lips. Of course there wasn't a speck of interest he seemed to have for me. His eyes rested on me as he started to talk to Kenean. But somehow even though his gaze was cold I felt a warm happiness spread through me. My face betrayed me as my lips turned into a smile. I could feel my cheeks get hot this time and I stepped away from him. After Sir Montear asked Kenean some things there was an awkward silence and I felt like I should fill it up. So foolishly I said " Well everything's so new to me." Unexpectedly SIr Montear offered a introducing to everyone. I was surprised I couldn't say anything but just nodd my head. I mean I guess he wanted to be nice to me after that first dinner we had. Kenean just nodded and walked away.

        As we awkwardly walked next to each other, Sir Montear talking in his dark deep voice and me just following him everywhere. I tried to be careful not to stare up at him and I put my eyes downward. Of course women tried to be clingy on Sir Montear but a cold person as he was he shoved them away. Imagining a gentle Sir Montear was impossible. After everyone was introduced we just walked. Sir Montear may be annoyed but I didn't care. If he was annoyed then he should tell me and I shall walk away. After a heavy silence I said softly " Thank you for saving me in the forest." It was like a murmur and I wasnt sure if he had heard but he replied " I don't know what creature did that to you but there's something not right. I have to catch that creature before it ruins other creatures. You have to know that you can never ever cross the line that divides Miranda's house and the forest. If you ever do you cannot return." Hm..Cannot return... Then how did he....

        "Sir Montear, Kristy come on! Dinner is going to be served!" Miranda's voice cut our conversation and we walked toward the large room packed with people. I picked a chair near Miranda and wondered where Sir Montear was going to sit. Of course he sat next to Kenean who was in front of me. Next to me two women sat next to me. Each of them turning red when they saw SIr Montear and Kenean. I understood them. Handsome men like them were "rare". As the food was served I ate hungirily. It was all so delicous and I didn't care if people saw me I was really hungry and right now I didn't feel like caring. " You must have been really hungry" A beaming Kenean started a conversation. Just as I was about to reply," Yes I was" replied the woman next to me. Oh he was talking to her. Well obviously they were really pretty. But then Kenean said " Sorry I ment Kristy" The woman blushed and dropped her head. As Kenean talked the dark figure stayed silent and ate his food. He was so mysterious. He seemed cold but yet he was warm to me. As the room was filled with eating and chatting we never noticed that someone was here for Sir Montear.

        "YOU told ME that you had a lot of WORK" A angry voice sliced right through me and Kenean's conversation. I looked up and there was Lilian Sophie....something. With her eyes on fire and her cheeks red and her lips in a thin tight line she seemed angry. Nobody seemed to notice except me, Kenean and Sir Montear.
