"Shall I click my heels together thrice and hope for the best then?"

Honestly, there was nothing worse than waking up in an unspecified location while also simultaneously realizing that you've chained to a bed against your will but that was just a reality for Eloise who had woken up in an unspecified location and unfortunately chained to a bed against her will. The cell block situation she seemed to have gotten herself into was dirty and looked unkempt even though she had been unconscious for the majority of the time she had been brought in. Not to mention the fact that she didn't even know where her official/unofficial guard was. Separation was never a good idea in uncharted territory such as this.
She could only hope that he was okay seeing as this was mostly her fault anyways. If she just hadn't touched that meteor and had left it alone then maybe she and Peter would be halfway across Greece by now, headed for the ships that sat on the docks of Kavala. A girl could dream, she supposed.
Slowly, she pushed herself up from her horizontal position, turning slightly so that she could sit with her back against the wall. The chain didn't allow for much movement, pulling taut when she tried to reach for the opposing wall. Eloise supposed it was just long enough in the other direction to allow her to use the toilet in the corner but didn't serve her any more distance than that.
Eloise cursed her father in their native language for not allowing her to take any self-defense classes as a child. Sure, she knew how to shoot a bow but that was just about the extent of weaponry they were allowed to learn. Everything else had been deemed too dangerous for them to learn and even with archery under her belt, all she had learned was purely ceremonious. During her sister's coronation, they would have fired a volley of flaming arrows for her, basically lighting her way to the throne.
Margaret would have one less step to climb now that she was gone. Thirteen seemed more aesthetic than fourteen anyways, Eloise let the thought roll off her back. She knew that if she somehow managed to get a hold of a bow and arrow, she could probably attempt an escape but the fact that she lacked the physical strength told her otherwise.
There was a jingling at her cell door followed by the sound of a heavy lock being undone before the door opened with the deafening screeching of metal against metal. Behind the welcome party, she could see two cells opposite her own, both holding an individual that looked younger than she did. The one on the left was a boy, she could tell, though his hair was long and unkempt while the one on the right was a girl, her eyes looking wilder and more disconnected from reality than anything else.
Eloise was struck with fear, immobilizing her as the welcome party approached. She looked up at one of the men that had come to retrieve her, looking into his eyes. "Where's Peter?" she asked, voice rasping due to the lack of water in the past twenty-four hours. He didn't respond, simply grabbing her by the arm as another undid her restraints.
She started to struggle, kicking out and screaming when they then grabbed her legs and hoisted her up. Another one grabbed her other arm, escorting her out of the cell as she struggled. Her outfit that had once consisted of her royal riding ensemble left her more mobility than one of the dresses she'd worn in the past but she was still rendered useless against the brute strength of these men.
She craned her head to the side, making eye contact with the girl, pleading with her to help. Both of their doors had been left open yet they sat back as silent watchers to her torment. "Let go of me!" she commanded, twisting and writhing as they carried her out of the hallway and into another set of bleak-looking corridors.
