one shot:
the cold wind blew against lai's face as she skated down the smooth road. each bump and change of material in the road she felt as they navigated their path. suna swerved beside them getting low on his skateboard " catch me if you can." he said as he got closer to the main street. sunas hair bounced as he he skated down the long road. lai speed up breathing in the crisp night air. their lungs expanded as they tried to beat suna in this battle of speed.
as lai got to the main she looked around for their tall boyfriend. " suna you dumbass. " lai said laughing as she walked over to suna who was holding a huge box of pizza. " surprise bitch." he said grabbing lai's hand. they broke off into a run, " where the hell are you taking me?" she said trying to free her hand. " trust me you'll love it." suna said trying to not drop the pizza. lai rolled her eyes smiling to herself as they ran into the night.
at this point in time the sky was dark and the stars where peaking out of the clouds. the wind howled messing up sunas hair as he tried to fix it with his hands. suna put his skateboard down as lai looked at their surroundings. they where at some sort of beach, the tide was low and shallow. to her left was a small blanket and a basket of food, suna put down the pizza as he sat down. " come here, im cold." suna said opening his arms.
as suna and lai laid down they talked about their lives, volleyball, the twins, art and music. suna handed her a monster and a slice of pizza. the cheese was melting and suna did a horrible job at getting it all in his mouth. " suna you have pizza all over you face." lai said trying not to laugh. " i was saving it for later-" he said as lai cut him off. " please no dad jokes right now, ive had enough." they said laughing wiping the pizza of his face.
the two laughed and admired the bright stars. the ocean breeze traced lais face as she leaned over and looked at suna who was fast asleep. she curled up to him grabbing the blankets in the basket. they fell asleep as the moon watched over them.
