Violet POV:
It had felt like forever since Clem left with every passing minute feeling like a hour. Ruby knocked on the door entering slowly not even waiting for permission to enter. "Hey Violet I got some good news,but you'll need to move that ankle to prove me right," she said causing me to sigh knowing it was going to hurt like a bitch. "Fuck you," I said with a smile slowly moving my ankle wincing in pain as I managed to move it. "Good that confirms it's not likely a dislocation meaning you'll be better sooner than we thought," she said as I layer my head back still in pain. "Great now can you tell me where Clem went?" I asked looking at her. They hadn't told me where Clem went or when she'd back which was bothering me. Ruby sighed with a small nod "Clem went to a small town not too far from here,and hopefully she will be back before tomorrow morning," she said as I looked at the window noticing it was getting close to dark. "If she isn't back by tomorrow afternoon you are going after her," I said in a stern voice crossing my arms now worrying more. Ruby nodded "Fine,but only because I need her to keep you behaved," she said walking over to the door. I smiled at her little comment about Clem keeping me in line which was totally true. "Hey Violet we are all proud of you," she said walking out of the room closing the door behind her. I laughed a bit thinking about what the others that passed away would think of me now. "You'd all probably call me soft," I said to myself laying back.

Clementine POV:
I begin to freak out a bit looking for anything we could use in case the walkers got in. "Are you going to help?" I asked Maggie as she just stood there. "Clem we can always go up to the roof,and take the fire escape," she said with a smirk. "One issue they are out there,so we would need them to leave before we jumped down," I said sighing starting to feel irritated. "Go to the roof and leave it to me,and Clem trust me," she said chuckling as I looked at her. "What are you suggesting?" I asked looking at her a bit worried of her plan. "You get to the fire escape,and I'll let them in the back door. They will enter in coming in here,and when I reach the roof I'll give a signal. The signal will be obvious,and at that point you jump down shutting the door locking them in here," she said crossing her arms with a cocky smirk. I chuckled hearing her fucking crazy idea,but I knew I had no other choice. "Screw it I'll see you on the other side," I said going to walk off before she grabbed my arm. "Clementine if I'm not up there in a minute of you reaching the roof jump down and shut the door anyway," she said with a almost scared face. "What? I can't just lock you in here," I said shocked she'd suggest a crazy thing like that. "Damn it we don't have a choice," she said which I nodded along with. "Alright I'll do it," I said turning to walk away from her. "Be careful Clem," she said with a cocky tone as I begin walking up the stairs. It almost felt like she had been here before by the way she was familiar with the building layout. I sighed as I begin to run up the stairs knowing I couldn't waste any time I had. After a couple more sets of stars I reached the roof opening the door. "I fucking hate stairs," I said walking towards the fire exit. I could hear the back door of the building door open as I begin counting down the time. After checking to make sure all the walkers were inside I climbed down near the bottom of the fire escape. A couple of seconds felt like a eternity as my heart raced hoping Maggie made it out alive. It had been fifty seconds since hearing the door close Maggie was almost out of time. I made sure I shut the stair well door,so only a human could open it. "Sorry Maggie," I said to myself about to jump down as that exact moment I heard the roof door open,and slam shut. "CLEM GO!" Maggie yelled as I jumped down to the ground below quickly shutting the back door. Maggie quickly climbed down the fire escape jumping down shorty after I did. "Come on let's get out of here," she said running by me as I begin running after her. "How'd it go?" I asked smirking a bit glad she made it out ok. "Bieber you expected it to," she said chuckling as we kept running.

Violet POV:
AJ had just walked in the room carrying a book which was kind of shocking to see. "Hey where'd you find that?" I asked shaking my head surprised. "I found it in the downstairs bedroom," he said handing it to me. Of course it just happened to be a dictionary. "Shit I'm glad we have at least we have one book left in the world," I said as he pointed at me. "Hey that's a swear," he said causing me to smirk I'd make Clem mad with what I was going to say. "You know when Clementine isn't around I'll let you swear," I said as a smile grew on his face. "You're the coolest," he said sitting down at the foot of the bed. "I guess you want me to read some of this to you,?" I asked raising a eyebrow. He nodded which made me smile a bit as I flagged him closer. AJ sat next to me as I opened the book beginning to read,but also making sure he got a understanding of the words. It felt kind of nice being able to help someone learn something new. You know maybe I could get used to this whole family type thing we had going on. Let's just hope no one comes along to fuck it up.
