Introduction

Clementine POV:
Maggie and I had been running for what felt like a eternity now. Finally we decided to slow down knowing whatever followed us wasn't close enough to be a major threat. "Damn that went better than I expected," she said chuckling a bit as I smiled. "Yeah,but I wish we could've done more searching," I said knowing we didn't get a lot in the end. "I guess now it's up to you if we split up here or we stick together," she said stopping in the middle of the road. Now it was time to decided if I trusted Maggie which to be honest after the incident back there why wouldn't it. "Alright let's keep going," I said not even thinking about how AJ or Violet would feel about me bringing someone else new to the group. Maggie smirked a bit as we begin walking a bit glad I agreed to let her tag along. "What are your people like?" she asked causing me to smile a bit. "Hm well Violet is a little moody but I love her while AJ is learning about the world," I said truthfully not knowing how to describe AJ. Maggie shrugged "Hey trust me I used to date this one person they were always moody,so I get what that is like," she said chuckling a bit. "Violet may have a temper,but she is still the one for me," I said smiling looking down at the ground. "You know that's very sweet," Maggie said with a giggle as we kept walking.

Violet POV:
I begin to feel myself breathing faster and heavier as sweat poured down my face. It felt like I was boiling alive in this fucking oven of a room. I grabbed the water canteen next to my head and took a quick drink. "Fuck," was all I could say wiping my forehead with a small rag. My mind begin wondering on what would happen if Clem ever met someone out there near our age. She wouldn't leave me well I'd like to think she wouldn't. Here we go now I was worrying about Clem going out,and running off with some non-existing girl. It was the middle of the night,and here I was wide awake thinking of idiotic scenarios in my head. Ruby was keeping guard in shifts with AJ,so I didn't have to worry about anyone breaking in at least. It was a lot easier to sleep when we had more people to keep watch out for us. I sighed as I turned to lay on my side knowing I should try,and get some much needed sleep. My fucking stupid mind was still kind of worried about Clem finding someone else,or if she'd even be with someone like me if it wasn't for the apocalypse. I closed my eyes knowing I shouldn't be thinking of these kind of things. "What fucking timing," I thought to myself hearing someone come up the stairs. The door opened AJ popping in seeming all smiles for some reason. "Clem is almost here,and it looks like she had someone with her," AJ sighed as my eyes widened a bit. I swear if my fucking thought was coming true I'd kick my own ass.

Clementine POV:
The house was in perfect view as we were only about five minutes away. A smile rushed to my face when I saw it knowing I was almost home. It wasn't a perfect home,but it was mine until I could find somewhere safer for everyone. "I'll race you," Maggie said pushing me in a playful way. I just smirked as I took off running wanting to win for some reason. "Cheater," Maggie said to herself as she begin running after me. Finally I ran up to the house smacking the door declaring myself the winner. Maggie chuckled as she panted a bit walking up behind me knowing I won. "CLEM!" AJ yelled out opening the door hugging me tightly. "Hey kiddo," I said kneeling down hugging him back. "Who's the new girl?" Ruby said walking up to the doorway looking at Maggie. "Oh this is Maggie she totally saved my ass in the city," I said nudging her shoulder a bit. Maggie chuckled a bit as she shook Ruby's hand "Nice to meet you," she said as they introduced themselves. "Clem you better go upstairs Vi has been a handful since you left," she said with a chuckle. I smiled flagging Maggie to follow me hoping her and Vi would get along. We walked up the stairs slowly as excitement rushed over me happy I'd get to see Violet again. "Hey Vi," I opened the door to see her sitting there with a smile on her face,but as soon as Maggie entered behind me that smile disappeared.

Violet POV:
"Clem who is this?" I said nodding towards Maggie who let's just say I wasn't happy to see. "Maggie this is Violet,and Violet this is Maggie I ran into her on the way to the town," Clementine said causing me to shrug a bit. It felt like slow motion as the new girl walked over offering a hand shake. "Cool," I said with a sarcastic tone letting the clearly country girl hanging. Clem clearly wasn't impressed with my attitude as I saw a slight frown rush across her face. "Hey Maggie could you give Violet and I a minute?" she asked to which Maggie nodded walking out the room shutting the door behind her. "I heard Ruby say you've been a handful since I've been gone," she said sitting in the foot of the bed. "Whatever Ruby is a idiot," I said still a little agitated by the new girl. "You know leaving Maggie hanging back there was kind of rude. I mean she saved my life back in that city," she said causing me to role my eyes. "I've helped you out a lot more," I said with a sigh shaking my head. Clementine smirked a bit knowing what was going on "Hey you don't have to be jealous," she said standing up. "Why the fuck would I be jealous of her?" I asked in a sarcastic voice. "Vi I still love you," she said sitting next to me offering her hand out. I sighed taking hold of her hand knowing all this drama crap was just in my head. "I love you too," I mumbled a bit looking down. I felt Clem's hand raise my head up to look at her slowly. "Violet I love you,and you're the only one for me," she said leaning in kissing me deeply. I kissed her back deeply knowing I had nothing to worry about,but I still didn't like this new girl.
