Thousands of years ago, Dream was a god, and a powerful one. He was able to have anything he wanted with only a finger snap. Everyone venerated him.

But one day, other gods, jealous of all his power, decided to kill him. But Dream was impossible to kill. He would slip through their fingers at the last moment before taking the life of some of them.
The gods decided that instead of taking his life, they would find a way to trap him into a jail. A magic and unphysical jail.
And they succeeded. It was difficult but not as impossible as to kill him.

Dream stayed in his jail for many years. Countless stars died while he was still in there. He was slowly turning crazy at the thought he would be trap in his cage forever. But he didn't want to despair. He knew one day, his time would come again. So, to cure his depression, Dream decored his prison with smiley faces. He added thousands of them each day.

The smileys weirdly started to gain power. Day after day, slowly but surely, they were breaking the jail's grip. And years later, a breach made its appearence. It was just big enough for Dream to escape.

The first thing he did, he did it with no hesitation. He killed all his ennemies. It didn't take him long, or maybe it did, he wasn't sure. Time was such a strange thing to him, now, after getting out of prison, where days were seconds and months, years.
The second thing he did was making himself an indestructible mask white, with a smiley face on it.

He was happy at first but after a little while, Dream began to be bored. And Dream hated to be bored. It reminded him of his jail. Things that reminded him of that needed to be eliminate.

An idea came into his mind. What about the humans, these little creatures, who were so much like to gods?
Dream went down on Earth, killed half of the human population, but still didn't find happiness. He understood pretty quickly that having that much powers was making everything boring when your opponant hadn't any.
The god decided to give up on his powers forever. The only thing that could distinguish him from other humans was his immortality. He would have endless fun.
He would never be in chain ever again.

And his fround turned upside down...

~•°•~

Dream was staring at a black wall.
Nobody had talked to him for days.
He was back in a cage.
He was back to case one.

At first he panicked.

Not again.
Please.
Anything but this.
He was not supposed to be the one in here.
He was so close to victory.
Could someone help him?
Anyone?
Not a single soul?
Please?
...
Please?

And then, just before turning crazy, he thought of a plan.

An enderman, an old favor, a young blond boy, maybe a forgotten book and a little bit of luck was all he needed.
He would be out soon.

He smiled.
