Sophie's POV
Liz looked worried, and this worried me. What had happened? Did she not enjoy playing in the pool? Or maybe I was paying too much attention to Will... But I thought I was giving everyone equal attention! Did I do something?
Everyone started eating, dinner was a cheeseburger and fries, but Liz wasn't eating her food, and I was too worried to think about eating even. What had happened, seriously?
I would have to ask her later, thankfully she was staying the night tonight. That would hopefully give me time to find out what was wrong.
Will and Mary asked me if everything was okay and I nodded. "Yeah! I just am not very hungry. How are your meals?"
After dinner we walked Will and Mary home, before Liz and I went back to my house. Daniel was playing in his bedroom or something and Liz and I started a movie. I was seriously getting concerned... Halfway through the movie I decided to ask what was wrong.
"Liz, what's wrong?"
"What? Nothing... I'm just tired!"
"Liz. Whatever it is, you can tell me. I'm your bff, aren't I?"
"Yeah but.." She chewed on her lip and mumbled something that I couldn't quite hear.
"What did you say?"
"Just that... If I told you, we wouldn't be... B-bff's anymore.."
"What do you mean?"
She bit her lip and turned away from me, not answering. What could've happened? She did know "bff" stood for "Best friend forever," right? I wouldn't leave her no matter what happened. I heard her sigh and say, "I somehow lost the necklace.."
