Chapter 11 : Detectives

Sophie's POV

Liz, Mary and I walked inside.

"okay, so now we do what?" I asked. I didn't have the first idea of how to be a detective. "Well....we should probably go and look around to try to find anything like maybe footprints or....something, I don't know." Mary said with a shrug.

"yeah, because its rained or snowed recently." I said with a eye-role. It was JULY! How were we supposed to find footprints?

"well....maybe we could go and interrogate her?" Liz suggested.

I shook my head immediately not liking that idea. Remember how I said she was somewhat nice but possessive and controlling? Yeah....I never wanted to be by her again. I felt uncomfortable knowing that to get the necklace back I'd have to, but I just...didn't like the idea.

"why? We are gonna have to interrogate her sometime you know.."

I searched her and Mary's eyes. Okay, they were right. And I mean.....people stop being friends all the time I was sure she wouldn't be angry with me...I didn't have to worry. I had Liz after all.

"okay....you're right. I'm sorry I'm probably being pathetic right now," I said giving a small smile.

"you're not pathetic, its normal to get nervous about stuff." Mary defended. I shrugged. "Okay. So you guys really think its an good idea to just show up and interrogate her?"

"Well when you say it like that--"

We were interrupted by Mary getting a text asking her and Will to come home and finish their chores. "Oh, okay. Bye! Tell Will I love him!" I said and she gave a look of disgust. "Ew no you tell him that yourself."

"finneeeeee, cya guys later!" I giggled. Once they were gone and Daniel was busy playing Minecraft Liz and I continued discussing what to do and eventually deciding on a manhunt type thing.

Basically we would keep an eye and look for anything suspicious. I didn't know what we were looking for other then a necklace though....but eh it would be fun-ish.

"Detective Sophie. Yeah that has a nice ring to it.."
