Liz's POV

I looked at Will and Mary hoping they had more to say about the necklace. But there were no answer and no clues as to where it could have gone.

I had looked everywhere last night, even on the floor.

I groaned. "We're never gonna find it." "That's not true!" Mary and Sophie said at the same time.

"Liz it'll be found. Don't worry." Sophie said. But I could tell by the look on her face that those words didn't seem very reassuring either.

"Sophie"- "Morning!" Daniel interrupted. "Oh hey Mary, Will. What brings you guys here so early in the morning?"

"Actually Daniel, I have a question." Sophie said.

"Ok? Shoot." He answered. "Did you happen to see Liz's Necklace anywhere?" Sophie asked him.

"Well actually yeah I did.... it was on- Uhhhhhhh...I forgot what her name was....." He said.

"Omg! Seriously dude!" Sophie said, while scolding him. "Well what did she look like?"

"Well uhhhhh.....hmmmm....."- he started but then Sophie cut him off.

"Is it really that hard to remember what she looks like?!" Sophie said getting a little irritated.

"Well I only saw a glance of her! I was in the pool and I was looking up with water in my eyes when I saw her by the bench table, and she was putting it in her pocket." He shot back at Sophie.

"Oh.....that explains it....well you could have mentioned that first." She said. "Can you try to remember what she looked like? Maybe even remember her name?" Mary asked him.

"Oh just forget it!" I yelled. "This obviously isn't working! We're never gonna find it!"

The room fell silent and awkward.

"I-.....I'm sorry guys....idk what came over me....I-...I need to go get some air." I said. No one said anything so I decided to get up and leave.

Once I was outside, I went to the spot where my necklace was.

How were we ever going to find it? There was no possible way it was lost...and we had not much evidence that anyone took it...

I felt alone....what was I going to do? I started this mess, and now how was I going to clean it?

I sighed. "Well...it's probably best that Sophie won't be my friend anymore...that way I won't  make anymore mistakes for her," I whispered to myself.

I rested my head back against the chair and closed my eyes.

I should just lose all hope.
