"Get up." a voice insisted. "No...." Another voiced moaned "Can’t..." "Yes you can." The other voice persisted sounding worried. "Go away!" The second voice tried to hiss but it lacked authority due to the groaning sound. Cattail woke up because of the arguing. "Wha.." She yawned trying to blink the sleep out of her eyes. "It's Prim." The voice from before said which she now recognized as Poinsettia. Cattail looked at Prim who was curled up in her hammock with her wings over her head. She was a paler pink than usual and she had white streaks shifting through her scales. "What does the white mean?" She questioned. "Pain I would assume. She has a really bad headache and she won’t move." Poinsettia said. Prim emphasized this fact with a moan. Cattail felt bad for Prim, she'd had her own unbearable headaches before. "Don’t worry, you can stay here. We'll tell the teachers and get you any work you missed." Cattail told Prim. "And we'll come back to check on you during the free period before we visit Frost and if it still hurts we can get you something from the healers." Poinsettia added. Prim gave something that seemed almost like a shrug but Cattail thought it was about as close to a nod as they were going to get. "What’s the first class anyway?" Poinsettia asked. "Um, let me see, where’s the schedule?" Cattail asked. Poinsettia clocked in the head with a scroll as an answer. "Hey!" she cried. "Revenge." Poinsettia told her wrinkling her snout in amusement. Fortunately Poinsettia had actually thrown the right scroll at her so she could read the schedule. "Can I actually finish this time?" Cattail asked suspiciously. "Finish away." Poinsettia told her having gone back to lounging on her ledge. Cattail rolled her eyes and started reading.

The very bottom had "We hope you enjoy your first week at JMA! - Sincerely the Founders" but Cattail didn’t feel the need the read that part. "Oh, Cool! We only have one class a week with the Obsidian Winglet!" Poinsettia cheered. "Come on Poinsettia, let’s get ready." Cattail said amused by her wingmate's enthusiasm.
It seemed like the free period took forever to come but finally the gong rung and they darted out of class. Cattail and Poinsettia had explained about Prim's headache to others and told them they would meet them at the healers cave. When they got back to the dorm Prim was at least feeling good enough to yell when she heard the clicking of their claws. "Go away! I told you sitting in mud will most certainly not help me feel better!" Poinsettia tried to cover her laugh with little success. "Uh Prim, Are you hallucinating now?" Cattail asked. "What- Oh! Sorry I thought you were someone else! Free period right? Let’s go before I die of boredom!" She said leaping off her hammock. Despite the energetic leave her sluggish movement, white streaks in her scales, and occasional flinching for no apparent reason betrayed that her head still hurt horribly bad. One time the flinched so bad that she stopped looking where she was going and walked into a wall. Who knew Rainwings had such colorful language? When they got there the others were waiting outside. They filed in taking the Rainwing healer who was there by surprise. "I- uh, why are you here? Is someone hurt?" He fumbled. "No. Wait, yes. Sort of. We're here to see Frost and get something for Prim's headache." Mirage told him. The Rainwing was finally getting over his initial surprise. "Sure I'll show you where he is then get something for the headache." He led them further in. The healers cave was surprisingly big. Most of the room had dips carved out the stone but only two had dragons in them. One was Frost and the other a Seawing deep in sleep. The Seawing had ragged breathing and occasionally coughed badly. He must be drugged with something, Cattail thought, or he would have woken up by now. He must be really sick. Fortunately the Seawing was on the other side of the room from Frost. Wooden shelves lined some of the walls and were stocked with containers and plants. The smell of herbs drifted strongly through the room. Another opening was on the far wall by the Seawing. Cattail assumed they kept more healing supplies in there. Frost looked sleepy and his tail was wrapped thoroughly. Maybe he was sedated for pain too. Or maybe he was just tired. “Frost, you have visitors!" The Rainwing called as he whisked over to the shelves to shuffle through the supplies. Frost opened his eyes and sat up. "Whoa. There must be some mistake. I don't know this many dragons." He said baffled. "Yeah we know. The ones you don't know, we're friends of your wingmates. I'm Mirage. Your kind of hero you know." Mirage informed him. Frost shrugged like it was no big deal. "Who are the rest of you?" He asked. They told him their names and he asked "You all seriously came to see me because I got my tail crushed?" "Well that's not exactly how I would have put it but basically yes." Dune told him. "Well that and to get something for Prim's headache." Poinsettia told him. Prim gave him a pained smile from behind Avalanche. "Oh. Well good luck with that." Frost told her. Just then the Rainwing healer made a triumphant noise and came back. "Here," he said giving her something "take this and it should relieve the pain.” "Ok thanks." Prim replied. Eventually the group left, but not before Mirage convinced them to go to some class that afternoon. Cattail was the last to leave and on their way out they saw a very uncomfortable and very irritated looking Obsidian on her way in. "You’re so going swimming." Dreamspeaker told Drought who groaned. Cattail gave him an amused look and he rolled his eyes. "Maybes she's not as cold hearted as we thought?" Pond offered. "No, she's definitely as cold as we thought. She probably just went so she didn't look bad." Ali said. "I think it's too late for that." Cattail pointed out. "Good point."
"What exactly did we agree to go to?" Cattail asked Poinsettia as her, Prim, and Cattail moved through the maze of tunnels. "Do you ever listen? Haven't you noticed?” Poinsettia said in exasperation "No, and noticed what?" Cattail asked. Poinsettia stopped and pointed to sign. It read "A new class has been added for after school studies. We are now introducing Combat Practice." Then it gave directions to the class. "Oh. Combat Practice? Why? Aren’t we in a time of peace right now?" Poinsettia shrugged. "You might need it, for self-defense and all. You never know when a dragon could go rogue." "I guess." Cattail looked back at Prim and couldn't help but think that she didn't want to be a dragon facing off with her right now. Even though she was being good tempered right now her head still hurt and occasional flashes of red in her scales portrayed her irritability. When they went in Cattail was surprised to recognize the teacher. "Terracotta?"
