A dragon landed in the dark of night in the marshes, clutching a lone egg to her chest. A Large brown dragon stepped out of the shadows. "You’re finally here." He said relived. He looked at her, examining her mud slathered scales so that not a drop of colored showed in the dark of night.

"Are you absolutely sure it will be safe here?" She asked.

"I'm positive. They would never let anything happen to their sib." The dragon didn’t look relived. "Come on, I'll show you the nest." The Mudwing offered. The dragon nodded and followed him to a half dug up nest in the mud filled with six dragon eggs. The dragon carefully placed her egg amongst the nest.

"Goodbye my egg, my beautiful dragonet, my precious little Mudwing." She murmured as she placed the egg amongst the others. The Mudwing wrapped a wing around her as she replaced the mud over the eggs. "Are you sure no one will notice it?" she asked.

"Yes I'm sure. Egret never checks any of her eggs and doesn’t even know who the father is. It will be fine." The dragon nodded and turned away. "Come on, you should go now." She cast one look back over her shoulder then turned away and whispered.

"Okay." And took off, her head drooping in the sky.
