Two o' clock came slower than anything. Dream dressed comfortably, spinning his smiley bracelet, slightly unfocused. Sapnap smirked from the corner, but refrained from saying anything. When it eventually did turn two, he heard a knock at his door.

"George!" He smiled, "Glad to see you're punctual, too."

"Always." He nodded, moving out of the way for Dream to exit his room.

Dream joined George, both of them walking in time. George subconsciously followed Dream's lead as they exited the school, heading down a brick-paved road. Shops, cafés and more passed their eyes as they flowed in easy conversation.

They both liked talking to each other. It never got too serious, but it could be. It was easy for them to interact.

"Over here!" Dream pointed ahead. He hadn't actually visited this place many times and, although he enjoyed the peace and quiet, he was happy to have someone with him.

They sat on the concrete ledge, both leaning back on their palms as the Sun warmed them through. The light breeze was kind, ruffling them only slightly.

"That one there's my favourite." Dream said, leaning up as he pointed to a fair-sized boat with a sail that was pulled tight in the wind. He waved at the old man on board who waved back with a smile.

"It looks nice. Do you know that man?" George asked.

"No, not really. He waved to me once while he was out there, now every time I come I like to wave first. I like his boat, it's similar to the figure I have." Dream reached into his front pocket, pulling out his small boat model.

"Wow, they are quite similar." George smiled. "Can I have a look at it?" He asks, outstretching his hand.

Dream wouldn't usually let someone hold this precious figurine but he found himself passing it over. "Just be careful."

"Of course." George took it, making sure not to press his fingers too hard, leaning it on his palm as he held it up to his eyes. "It's a really intricate design." He said, he was now quiet in focus as he scanned its details. "S. S. Dream, eh?" George grinned, passing it back into Dream's outstretched hand. Dream chuckled a little.

"It was a gift. I don't know how old I was when I got it. Sometime before I was six."

"Who got it for you?" George asked. Dream shook his head with a sad smile.

"It doesn't matter." George understood this tone, it was one he had used himself when he didn't want someone to question something.

"It looks like it might rain soon." They both looked at the grey clouds approaching.

"Maybe we should have left earlier. I'm sure we can stay for a little while longer." Dream suggested, watching his favourite boat, now sitting up.

"Yeah, they're moving pretty slow." George looked down from the clouds, following Dream's eye-line to the boat up ahead. "I like that one over there." He pointed to a boat further upstream, it was designed more like a speedboat, the roof open.

"Yeah." Dream said, only listening, not actually taking in what George was saying. "Sorry." He shook his head, looking where George pointed.

"It's okay." George gave a reassuring smile as they sat together in comfortable silence, watching the boats.

They sat like this for a while until Dream felt a drop of water hit his face.

"Oh no." He held back his laughter. "How long have we been sat here?" George felt similar drops hitting his head.

"Very long, let's go back." George was also holding back a laugh but as soon as they looked at each other, they burst. Laughing their heads off as they turned and ran together, splashing through puddles in their wake.

When they returned to school, they were still laughing.

"Jesus, my socks are soaking!" Dream said, composing himself. His hair was slightly messy, but his eyes had a bright light in them George hadn't seen before.

The same went for what Dream saw, George's eyes were lit up, shining.

"I should get back to my dorm. Thanks for hanging out!" Dream waved behind him as he dashed off through the hall, turning into a room out of Georges sight.

George sighed contentedly as he headed slowly down the hall in his wet clothes.
