I woke in my king sized bed and sigh. Another day.
Most people think i'm shallow for acting the way i do.

You're so shallow! If i was rich i wouldn't complain

What have you got to worry about?

Ugh you just want attention.

Of course they are never right. I am greatful, and just because someone is rich doesn't mean they can't get sad as well. And technically my parents are rich. Not me.
I get out of bed, wash my face and brush my teeth, i then put a bit of pink gloss on my lips. And i get ready.
Once i'm changed i run downstairs, I'm late on my first day of the new year of course.
I go into the kitchen and sigh, of course mum and dad aren't here. I don't know what i was expecting. I skip breakfast.

Masie: girl where are you? Class has started!?

I roll my eyes. My 'best friend' Masie.
All of my 'friends' are fake and i don't even think they like me to be honest, usually i just sit on my own and when we do hang out, it's a competition to see who has the latest stuff.
Mum and dad always somehow get me the latest and greatest stuff, some of which hasn't even come out yet. But i don't want it.
I usually end up giving it to one of my 'friends' which is probably why they still stick around me.
I walk to school since it's not to far away. When i get in the halls are empty. Of course.
I slowly make my way to my class and barge in,
'Miss Enger! Would you like to explain why you are late?' Mr crown spits out, obviously not impressed and i smirk.
'Well i didn't want to come so naturally i took the longest route to school' i say, this is not the first time so sir let's me off. I go to the back of the class and take a seat, i lean back on my chair and yawn. I hate school, it's pointless. I don't make any friends, i don't learn anything, everything they teach us i already know but I'm failing anyway. I had thought that my parents would notice me if my grades dropped but they just flashed some more cash in my face, completley oblivios to everything. In return i keep up that bad school record so when they finally look at me they will have a reaction other than shoving their money at me.
I fall asleep...
'MISS ENGER!' I hear and i jolt up
'Yes sir' i answer and i hear snickers around the class.
'Answer this question.' He says in a further attempt to humiliate me.
'X is 48' i grumble and mr crown's smug expression disappears, i go to roll my eyes but instdead i catch someone's gaze.
Justice.
I've liked Justice for a while now but i didn't want to bother him being the school's rich and shallow idiot and all. His dark brown hair and big doe eyes are mesmerizing, of course he jas the classic nerd-like glasses, but he's quite cute with them on.
He looks away and i sigh, the most we have ever talked is when i had a cut above my eyebrow after a fight, he happened to be at the nurses office that day and even though i knew first aid he still insisted to help me, it was the first time someone had actually cared for me. It felt...nice. And my idiot self fell for him immediately.

We continue going through lessons and at lunch i went up to the roof, there is this other girl who goes up there to avoid her bullies she's the only person who actually seems like a friend, i've decided that i'm going to take care of those bullies once she tells me who they are.
'Hey Astra!' I say cheerfully and sit down next to her,
'Hey! How's school' she asks and i groan.
'Boring' i groan and she giggles.
'You know, i don't understand why you let yourself get bad grades, like your wayyy smarter than me i would use that to my advantage' Astra states and i give her a lazy grin.
'Maybe i will be most improved' I stretch out under the sun.
'Your hair looks nice in the sun' i comment. Astra's hair was a honey colour with hazel eyes to match.
'Your eyes look nice, they look like the ocean' she complements back and i grin.
According to most, i have unusual eyes, they're dark blue but have a light blue ring around the outside. And then i have my common brown hair so i would say my eyes were my best feature.
I heard the bell ring and i groan 'you coming?' Astra asks and i looked up at her surprised
'Huh? But i thought...' I trailed off thinking i may be rude.
Astra prefered to go in on her own because she didn't want me to get bullied to for hanging out with her which is absolutely absurd.
She laughed. 'If you come then i will point out my bullies' she reasons and i nod.
'Give me a sec' i say and i take out the heaviest book in my bag, her eyes widen and i wink.
We walk down the hallway and i can already see people gossiping.
'It's him. It's Max' she mumbles and my grin widens.
I walk up to hin casually and his eyes rake down my body.
Ew.
I give him a flirtatious smile and....

Slam the book down on his head.

'You touch Astra one more time and see what happens' i warn. A laugh bursts through Astra's mouth and i give her another smile.
'Hey go ahead to class i got to pee' she nodded and i made my way to the bathroom.
I just wanted to be late, miss Smith's class is the only one i enjoy but i have to keep up my school record.
When i enter late instead of scowling she beams.
'Gravity! Just in time! We have a project' she exclaims.
I give her a genuine smile and take my seat, Miss Smith usually gives us icebreaking projects so that we could get to know each other better as a class and improve on our social skills.
'Okay so as it's your last year i have about 100 movies for you to watch. You and your partner will discuss what your favourite part is. But overall this is for you to get to know your partner better, I've paired you up with people you don't usually work with.' Miss smiles and begins to read out the names...
'Justice and Gravity' she sends a wink in my direction and i feel my cheeks heat up.
'okay! so i want you to sit in your pairs and discuss for the rest of the lesson' she exclaims, people begin shuffling around and i scan the room for Justice, i spot him in the far corner and make my way there, he has a small frown on his face.
'What's the frown for? I'm not that bad' i say and he jolts.
'Great' he mumbles.
Ouch.
