Don't Forget

Chapter Five

I walked back to the classroom. I was wondering about my powers. Kei noticed that my eyes were losing colour and my powers are disappearing. I'm starting to worry. Then I suddenly see that guy from this morning. I quickly hid inside an empty classroom and let him walk by.

I don't wanna be seen with him. It'll be too awkward and I don't want some freaky person to be blurring out that I'll fall in love with him and I don't even know who he is.

The guy walked passed the classroom and I just stayed there. I felt safer when no one is bothering me. I sat there quietly. Lunch was almost over, but I still sat there, not wanting to get up. I wanted to skip class today.

Then I see Ryuuji and Hotaru walking by. Hotaru is walking really fast and Ryuuki was following her, matching her speed.

"Stop following me!" Hotaru yelled at Ryuuji annoyed.

"I'm just walking by." He said in a playful manner.

Hotaru sighed and walked back closer to the empty classroom I was in. I hid deeper in the classroom, but stayed near the door to see what was happening. Ryuuji walked towards her.

"Just tell me what you want." She said. "I'm not used to people following me around..."

"What about..." Ryuuji hesitated. "An answer."

"To what?"

"To why you're trying so hard to avoid me."

"Because I hate you."

"Well then..."

"Because I despise you."

"Um, that's sort of..."

"Because I abhor you."

"Okay, no one has said any of those word to me, except for 'I hate you,'" he said annoyed, but he smirked. "Why do you hate me?"

"B-Because..." Hotaru blushed. That's the first time I have ever seen that! "Because I'm afraid."

"Afraid of what?" Ryuuji asked interested.

"N-Nothing. Forget I said anything!" Hotaru turned around and started walking towards the classroom.

"Hey! Wait up for a second!" Ryuuji stopped her.

"What?" She spat out.

"Meet me later outside the gates of the park at around four." He commanded, waiting for a response.

Hotaru stood there for a while. Then turned around and said, "You better not plan on ditching me. I don't like being around too much people I don't know."

"So it that a yes?" He asked, reassuring.

"F-Fine..." She said then turned to walk towards the class. Then Ryuuji walked up to her.

"I'll walk you back." He said to her quietly as she blushed. He became more calm and less energetic than usual.

I stood up and looked at them walk away. I smiled at them. I'd bet anyone that she already fell for him. She just doesn't wanna admit it. Ryuuji will see how beautiful her mind is then fall in love with her. I just know it.

Then new guys are too obvious. Both of them. They can bring out the opposite people in my two only friends. Chiharu got a bit negative. And Hotaru got a bit more social. The same effect happened on the boys. Kumori smiled and Ryuuji became more calm.

I walked out of the classroom and bumped into that guy from this morning, like wtf?!

"Hello, Hoshizora-san." The random guy said to me. "My name is Dachi Kousaka from class 2-B."

"Um, okay, well..." I said awkwardly.

"Hey!" I heard from behind me. I turned around to see Kei there. He pulled me away from Daichi. "I told you that it won't happen."

"I just wanted to ask her if she wanted to go out sometime." He said innocently.

Key looked furious. "Let's go." He said to me, then grabbed my hand and walked away to class.

I looked back at Daichi and he looked pissed. I mean, Kei was pissed too, but I've never seen two people other than my parents fight over me like that.
