~Hotaru's POV~
I was waiting for Ryuuji after school, with the fear of brig ditched by him. I was looking around when suddenly something touched my shoulders and made me jump. I turned around to find Ryuuji there.
"You scared me!" I said out of shock.
"Sorry," he said with some stupid smirk on his face. "Anyway, tell me about yourself, Kuudere-chan~," he cooed at me.
"There's nothing to say." I said coldly.
"Really?" He said normally. "You have a gift for being athletic. You're good at volleyball, basketball, and swimming,"
"H-How do you know that?!" I said shocked.
"I asked your sister about you and she showed me all these videos of you playing sports." He said.
"Wow, what's your deal?" I said irritated.
"Nothing, it's just..." He mumbled. "You remind me of someone,"
"Who? One of you exes?" I said annoyed.
"One of the few girl that I actually really loved," Ryuuji said.
"What happened to her?" I asked.
"She got amnesia." He stated.
"Sorry I asked..." I mumbled, regretting the words that I said.
"It's fine," he smiled. "It's in the past anyways,"
I looked straight in front of me and saw the empty road. Then started to walk forward, knowing that Ryuuji would follow.
"H-Hey! Where are you going?" He called out, but I kept walking.
He began to follow me to my destination. I stopped at the top of a hill in the middle of the forest. Right down the hill was a shallow river with large, flat rocks peeking at the surface. Ryuuji stood beside me and looked at the river.
"I come here everyday after school," I said, breaking the silence. "It used to be with Chiharu everyday, but, now she's lost interest in coming here."
"What makes this river so special?" He asked me.
I walked down the hill and put down my bag at the edge of the hill. Ryuuji followed and put his bag down too. I stepped on one of the rocks and began to follow the trail. Ryuuji watched me as I make my way down the trail of rocks, without moving from his spot. I stopped in the middle of the trail. Then turned around to look at him.
"Everything," I said.
~Ryuuji's POV~
I saw Hotaru make her way down the trail of rocks, then she suddenly stopped in the middle. She turned around to face me. I saw everything in slow motion. Hotaru's dark brown hair flowing through the wind and the ripples echoing in the water around the rocks everything she took a step. Her golden eyes filled with faith.
"Everything," she told me.
I became completely mesmerized by her. She was truly a piece of art. I smiled and followed her down the trail of rocks across the river and stood face-to-face with her.
"You're really like her, huh," I said.
"Like that girl you mentioned?" She asked.
"Yeah," I looked down at the river, only to see the clear water and the smooth stones at the bottom. "Her name was Haruka,"
Hotaru looked at me as if she realized something. "Haruka..." She said. "I feel like I know her..."
"Well, it is a common name," I said.
"Yeah... Maybe that's it." She said then turned around to walk to the other side of the river.
I followed her to the other side and sat down next to her at the edge of the hill. We both did nothing.
"Wanna go out sometime?" I asked her breaking the long, peaceful silence.
"Y-You mean..." Hotaru stuttered.
"Like a date," I said.
Hotaru hesitated. "Yeah," she smiled. "Why not?"
