Don't Forget

Chapter Eight

I walked to where I was supposed to meet Daichi. At the park under the cherry blossom tree. It was about 6:00 at night and the sun was about to set. It is beginning to be spring so the cherry blossoms are blooming. I guess that means the school year is almost done. I sat under the tree, adoring the beautiful leaves falling down, gracefully. I smiled peacefully since I knew that it'd be rare for me to enjoy it again.

"You like cherry blossoms?" I turned around to find Daichi sitting beside me, while looking at the falling leaves.

"Y-Yeah," I would've yelled at him for making me wait and for scaring me, but I have to act nice for him or I'll be in trouble. I wouldn't have gotten scared because of my powers, but the colour is fading so that means I'm losing my powers.

"Come on. Let's start that date. And remember to be nice." Daichi got up and winked at me while giving out his hand.

I nodded and took his hand as he brought me to a fountain where it was surrounded by cherry blossom trees with a pathway around the fountain and four paths leading out from it. There were grass patches in between cracks of the stone path. But what I loved most bout this scenary, would be the setting sun. It matched the light pink cherry blossoms perfectly.

"Hoshizora-san," Daichi started. "I know you didn't really want to go on a date with me, so I'll make it quick."

"Huh?" I asked in a very confused and obvious tone. Honestly, I wouldn't mind dating him for a while. Mainly because I know he's a nice guy, but I don't have any feelings for him.

"H-Hoshizora-san, dpleaze don't be mad on whY I'm about to do." Daichi was nervous for some reason. "C-can you please close your eyes?"

Now, I really wanted to use my powers. I closed my eyes and waited for two seconds. I felt something warm on my lips. I opened my eyes to find that Daichi was kissing me. I didn't fight back. I didn't mind that he kissed me. Daichi removed his lips from mine and had a bashful look on his face. It was pretty cute.

"S-Sorry..." Daichi said. "You can go home now."

I smirked then grabbed his hand and intertwined our fingers. "I'll let you have this moment because I may not go out with you again, okay?"

Daichi smiled the nodded. "Thanks." He sighed. "Kazumi-kun's really lucky to have great girl like you."

"W-What are saying?" I felt my ears become hot and I think my face turned red.

"Don't worry about it." Dachi said as he took his time, walking me home.
