"That's a fucking dragon!" Kalvin yelled and Blaise grunted.

"no shit." Blaise mumbles and Kalvin pushed him.

"shove off mate" Kalvin says.

"Shut up boys Daddy Diggory is bout to get the egg." Vera says and everyone quiets.

Then Keke and Michael burst out laughing.

"did not mean to say that" Vera mumbles and blushes.

" whatever " Blaise mumbles and I grin.

"Vera's got a crush on a hufflepuff?" I ask and everyone quiets.

"your right it's silly-" she starts and I cut her off.

"no, it's fine he's a Pureblood." I say and she smiles happy for approval.

They continue to converse and I turn to the arena fiddling with my hands nervously, father never specified when he was showing up, and I was terrified.

I begin to think of all the horrid things that could happen to my friends during the war.

My fingernails dig into the flesh of my palm, it feels nice, releases the pressure building up inside me.

A hand prys my hand open and entwines their fingers in mine.

I turn to face draco looking dead ahead.

I smile and squeeze his hand lightly.

He turns to face me.

"thank you" I whisper and he smiles using his free hand to push some of my hair behind my ear.

"it's not a problem, love" he says and I lean my head on his arm.

Cedric gets the egg, as does Viktor, and Fleur, now comes Harry.

I suck in a breath knowing my father would show up now if he was to show up this challenge.

Harry summons his broom and Draco scoffs.

"Can't out fly a dragon Pottah!" He hollers and I squeeze his hand.

"Draco!" I scold and he smiles.

"sorry Keir." He says and I smile.

Harry gets the egg, barely, and father doesn't return.

We stand up and walk out, not bothering to clap for the bloodtraitor.

"I'm going to congratulate Cedric, I'll see you later." Vera says and scurries off.

"Me and Blaise are going to make fun of the Weaselys, Kalvin says and Draco smirks.

"alright."

"Uhm- we're going to- get some food, see ya!" Keke says pulling away Michael.

I smile and wink at her knowingly.

She shoots me a glare and looks at draco then back to me and winks.

"Bet you ten gallons they get together by next week." Draco whispers in my ear and I scoff.

"as if! I'm not a bloody looser!" I say and we both laugh.

I feel his eyes on me as we walk and ignore it.

We walk in silence for a bit before he talks.

"how much to you want to bet I kiss you right now." He whispers and I turn to face him in shock.

I search his fiery blue and grey eyes.

he leans in and I suck in a breath.

"I can't" I blurt and he pulls away immediately looking hurt.

"why?"

"I- I don't know- I guess im just scared after what happened with- with him." I say and he nods.

"I get it, it's hard, I'll give you time, I'll wait." He says and I look into his eyes.

There isn't a sign of lying or anything other than truthfulness.

I sigh and look down.

"whatever." I say and grab his robes pulling him into me.

I press my lips to his and he stands shocked before snaking his hands around my waist and kissing me back.

I wrap my arms around his neck and he pulls me tighter into him.

I break the kiss panting and lean my head on his.

"we're in a path outside, let's continue this later yea?" I ask and he chuckles nodding.

Then he sweeps me off my feet and tosses me over his shoulder.

"DRACO LUCIUS MALFOY YOU PUT ME DOWN RIGHT FUCKING NOW!" I scream and hit his back.

He laughs and shakes his head.

"no can do Princess." He says and I huff giving up.

"your cute when you're mad." He says and I scoff.

"you can't see my face, dumbass." I mumble and he chuckles.

"but you love it." He says and I smile.

"whatever." I say and smile.

For the first time this year im happy.
