The tributes from District 1 came first. They had already gotten a boost of attention due to the fact that, for the first time, the tributes were 2 girls instead of 1 girl and 1 boy. Their outfits brought more cheers from the audience.

Clarisse and Drew had almost the same costumes, but they pulled it off very differently. They were both dressed in elegant, silk dresses, with pearl-studded bracelets, earrings, and necklaces. Drew's dress was a dark pink, while Clarisse's was a dark blue, and while Drew carried herself with elegance, her partner did quite the opposite, giving out a punk vibe instead. Both of the girls' faces were covered with gold and glittery makeup, and they waved to the crowd, one of them- guess who- making the 'yo' symbol.

Next came District 2. The costumes were similar to the ones used every year- beautiful as usual. But what caught the audience's attention was the chariot. It was glowing orange, and there was some sort of hologram around it, making it appear as the chariot itself was being constructed and unconstructed again and again. It was mesmerising.

Gwendolyn waved politely, and Leo seemed to be having the best time of his life:

"All da girls luv Leo, am I right?"

"Leo Mcshizzle Bad Boy Supreme, at your service!"

However, the show-stopper was District 3. The chariot itself had holographic horses, and looked awesome. But the two tributes- Annabeth and Bryce- managed to outshine even that. They both were dressed in a grey sleeveless tee and pants. But the t-shirt started breaking like it was metal, and covering the tributes' exposed skin, like magic. Lights flashed on the costume, making holograms appear and disappear, and the material's arrangement kept on change, somehow fitting in like pieces of a puzzle.

Bryce cheered wildly, while Annabeth waved to the crowds in a more mannered way, a smile spreading onto her face.

Despite District 3's brilliance, the other Districts were too well-dressed to be ignored.

The tributes from District 4 dressed as greek gods, fitting in perfectly. Percy had a trident in his hand, and was shirtless, while Calypso was wearing a white dress with blue pearls decorating it. Both of them were holding hands- to go with the look- and waving politely at everyone.

District 5 went all out. Both of the siblings' electric eyes were already as intense and unignorable as it was. Thalia was dressed in a silver and blue dress, with a tiara hair clip. Her eyes were lined with eyeliner, making them look more startling than ever. Jason was in a silver metallic shirt, with blue pants. But something was special about their simple outfits: every few seconds, electricity- that was probably artificial- flowed through it. It was astonishing, really.

The tributes from District 6 dressed up like Hermes, the greek god of travelling and thieves. Their shoes had wings that started flapping. Travis grinned, and waved, Rachel doing the same. Their chariot even had two wings on the side, making it look even better.

The tributes from District 7 did the same as every year, but it looked much less plain than usual, the bottom of Reyna's brown and green dress looking like leaves, the same for the bottom of Luke's shirt. Both of their costumes were glittering, and they had a lot of makeup.

District 8, like most of the districts, went all out. Piper wore a stunning dress- going in an ombre from dark pink to navy- which glittered, with a cut to the side which went up till her thigh. Will wore a navy-coloured suit, looking like he was glowing. Like the rest of the tributes, both of them waved towards the cheering crowd.

From District 9, Meg McCaffrey was probably waving and cheering towards the audience the loudest. Ethan did so in a more silent way. Meg wore a light yellow dress, her pageboy haircut neatly trimmed and clipped. She might have looked graceful, if it weren't for her attitude, which was probably what made the audience cheer for them though.

Ethan wore a normal suit, along with an eyepatch which certainly brought some attention. He waved silently, eventually grinning and shouting out 'hellos' to the audience.

From District 10, the tributes dressed up like hunters. Zoë definitely nailed the scary look, a silver circlet on her head, bow and arrow slung on her back, and a normal hunter's clothes, with a silver parka jacket. Frank was dressed similarly, except without the circlet and parka jacket.

The tributes from District 11 were dressed up as farmers. Octavian started shouting out a speech, "I will bring glory to District 11! Trust me, you will see that- !"

Katie couldn't stop herself from slapping him- hard- before going back to shyly waving towards the crowds. The audience gasped at the violent action, then cheering at her, louder than before. Octavian resembled a squashed tomato.

The tributes from District 12 were a surprise. Unlike usually, their costumes were actually excellent. Hazel was dressed in a dress with a gradient- it started with a dark black, eventually changing into a fire-like orange. Her hair was remade into elegant curls, a small crown placed on top, and her gold eyes shone. Nico was wearing a shirt with a similar gradient, and black pants. His dark hair swept over his eyes, and like Hazel, there was a small crown placed on his head. Both of their crowns suddenly lit up in artificial flames, making the spectators cheer. Hazel shyly waved, and Nico allowed himself a smile.

For the first time in the tribute parade, no district could be ignored.

President Chaos was quite surprised with that, but it also made her feel hope and elation.

This year's hunger games could be more than normal. It will be brilliant, and will never be forgotten.

A devious smile spread across her face as she thought of the countless ways to make the reaping unforgettable. Be it because of its horror, drama, or bloodshed, it would be brilliant in all the ways. Because she knew exactly how to make it happen.

[So... I took two days extra than I said I would, but at least it's updated! Next up will be the first day of the games. I'm actually done writing that chapter, but I'll still have to polisg it up- still, it won't take longer than a week to come out. ]

[So yeah, that's it!]
