[January 7th]

Jennite was half expecting Chu to be waiting by her bed again even though she provided her a guestroom.Oh,yeah. The alien was staying with her. Honestly, Jennie found herself not bothered by that. She had been considering finding a roomate for a while now.

But when she woke up, she was alone. After doing her morning routine, she checked the guestroom from the end of the hallway to check up on Chu but found the room empty. Really empty. She thought there would be some alien gadgets lying around, extra clothes or at least wrinkled bedsheets. But it was like nobody was here in the first place.

Downstairs, she let out a chuckle when she saw Chu in the backyard having fun in the snow again.

Chu was still in that leather blue outfit. The same smile graced her face as she walked around marking footprints, kicking snow or jumping on it like she was jumping in puddles on a rainy day.

Later when Jennie was going to make breakfast Chu acccidentally bumped into her and Jennie flinched from the contact. Because Chu's body was so cold and it was like pressing your body into a giant block of ice.

Standing even near her felt like standing in front of the AC. Chu was colder, literally, than yesterday and when Jennie asked the alien about that she was at first equally surprised.

Then she concluded it must be because her body absorbed the cold temperature. Back on her planet, the climate was always a constant and mild so their body temperature remained the same. Here, after Chu's little fun in the snow, instead of her feeling cold she just absorbed the cold.

"We can't have you being a popsicle. "Jennie had said and marched to her room and came back with a short pile of clothes.

"Here." Jennie placed the clothes on the counter. Chu stared at it like it came from outer space but then Jennie realized that was exactly the case for Chu.

Jennie held up a purple sweater with a Christmas Tree on it and then cocked her head at Chu's clothes."I guess these are different from the ones you are used to. You guys wear leather clothes all the time?"

"Ah,no. This isn't leather. It's actually-nevermind. It doesn't exist on Earth. And it's not something we wear all the time. This outfit is for the sole purpose of The Planetportation."

Chu's eyes widened and she quickly clasped her hands on her mouth like she just said something she shouldn't have. Which was exactly what happened.

Of course, Jennie was going to ask more about it. "The Planetportation? What's that?"
Chu sighed and fiddled with her thumbs for a moment. "I suppose I should tell you. After all you have been nothing but nice to me. "

"It's basically a travelling method but only used to go to other planets. You step inside this pod. Once you are secured inside they activate the machine. It actually got scary after that. It got really hot and there was a loud whirring noise. And I felt like my body was being stretched like a rubber band. Then there was a blinding white noise. Everything was quiet. And when I opened my eyes again, I was on Earth."

Jennie listened the new information with all of her attention. This was the first time Chu shared something about her home planet.

"You can't take anything except this," Chu patted her alien metal belt,"because other things would be destroyed in the teleportation process. Same with clothes. They will disintegrate. This material right here,"Chu pinched the hem of her long sleeved shirt," is the only one that can withstand the pressure and the heat."

"Interesting..." Jennie honestly didn't know what else to say.

"I guess I better start changing."
"Uh huh."Jennie nodded absentmindly. Her stomach growled reminding her what she was doing in the kitchen in the first place.
