“The bathrooms are insane! The bathtub alone is the size of our bathroom in the apartment back in Raleigh.”

“You are welcome.”

Ella and Jonathan were enjoying the amenities of the hotel, they were dressed in fluffy white bathrobes provided by the hotel and sitting on the couch, scrolling through the latest titles on Netflix on the 80+ inch t.v.  They had just enjoyed a nice long bath in their huge marble bathroom. Normally the two do not bathe together but Jonathan insisted as it was large enough. Ella had a hard time saying no, Jonathan was so compelling and so sweet. He tied her hair up for her in a good messy bun and just sat in silence with her.Now after enjoying a warm bath, Jonathan was getting them some wine and food to enjoy while getting dressed. As he picked up the hotel's phone about to call the desk. He soon asked her,

"Do you want a pizza with prosecco, or moscato?"

Ella contemplated, rubbing her arm and sheepishly inquired,

"Maybe just cola, I don't think it's a good idea to drink before going out-"

"Champagne then, nice choice Ella."

Ella blushed, rubbing the back of her neck smiling. Was she that easy to read? She liked white wine but champagne is her bougie bitch. The go to during stressful days, exams, and if the two combined, time to down two bottles! She enjoyed it that much but they were already planning on going out.

One glass wouldn't hurt Ella reassured herself and soon looked up at her fiance saying, "thank you, but we should not overdo it. We are going to the carnival today after all."

Yes, on the boardwalk, there was a half mile long pier with various tourist traps on it and epic rides that got grown ups vomiting to this day. Smiling to herself, Ella was excited to share that part of herself, her fun side and competitive side. She was particularly excited to take Jonathan on at pop the balloon, go-kart racing, the surfing simulator stall, and epic water balloon fights ugh the possibilities!

"Ella? Ella? Come back to me."

Ella blinked before sheepishly rubbing the back of her neck again. She did not realize she spaced out again in her memories. Could she help it? Not really. Being in Coastal Luna was like being at an old home.

Quickly offering Jonathan an apology, Ella swiftly apologized, "Sorry Jonathan, I keep letting my mind drift but I am here, and I am with you."

As Ella walked to Jonathan, she immediately snaked her arms around his waist hugging him tightly. Jonathan chuckled and returned her hug reassuring her,

"You don't need to apologize Ella, just remember you silly space cadet. I am here, and I want to always know what you're thinking."

Feeling her face turn a bright pink, Ella lets go of Jonathan and holds her cheeks stammering out, "I-I am not a space cadet!"

Laughing at her childishness, Jonathan thought of how cute Ella looked in the moment, giving her head a flick, he lifted her up surprisingly. Smiling at her he reassured, "I like you no matter what you do or who you are Ella."

Ella was taken off guard but she never minded it. Jonathan was romantic, and he never would do something with mal intent. Leaning in and pressing her forehead to his the female stared down into his stunning eyes. Smiling brightly, Ella said,
"Ditto Jonathan, ditto."

♡~♡~♡

"You are going to regret wearing that pish posh blazer."

"Oh yeah? How so?

"I am going to leave you in the dust!"

"We'll see about that."

Walking arm and arm into the pier's prime game central it was apparent on this dock there was competition between the loving couple. Entering the bright tacky red entrance, there were a lot of food stalls serving warm food piled high with sugar and fat, plenty of games to run your wallet dry, and a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean. That was Coastal Luna's signature pier. It was a tourist trap for sure but kids never minded as it meant going for spending their allowances to have the best fun. That was how Ella remembered this place.
