Another day and what came was another errand. Jonathan needed to go out and schedule some tuxedo fittings and to try and find some bridal boutiques for Ella to find her dress in. Right now he decided to let Ella go do her own things promising to cook a romantic dinner for the two that night. Now she needed to go to the place she hesitated to go. But there was no way she was going alone plus she made plans with the guys.
Walking to the downtown of Coastal Luna, Ella knew where to meet Liyanna. In a place all so familiar. On the corner of Roullough and Albuquerque Ave, where she and Liyanna lived their entire childhood. It was a bustling area, unique houses were there and there were varied people from different backgrounds there trying to live on as themselves and carry their cultures in their homes proudly. Many people minded their own business but the children often played together at the decaying playground by the bridges. It was dangerous, but it was also fun.
In the 80 degrees beautiful weather, Ella tied her long hair up in a ponytail and wore a light white shirt with ruffled short sleeves to match her dark blue jeggings. She wore her white sneakers to complete the casual look, to try to remain light and cool just in case things turn weird in Alena Anastas' house. She could have just gone straight to Sweet Pan, but she needed to know what went on that day at the beach, the pieces weren't mixing. Why was she pushed, what caused the explosion and how was she alive? She needed a starting point to see or see if she could find a conclusion.
Walking to the meeting spot in front of the Patel Corner Shop, and seeing two familiar figures casually dressed, Ella held her purse tightly and she worked her way into a light jog. Jogging up to them and waving her arm the female called out to the two.
"Hey! Liyanna! Danny! I am here!"
Liyanna and Daniel both turned at the same time, with both showing their signature smiles. Liyana smiled at Ella brightly as she ran up to her. Liyanna was taller than Ella so easily she pulled the girl into a hug and excitedly said, "Ella! We have been waiting for you! Do you want something from the corner store like some of my mom's homemade roti?"
Shaking her head, hugging Liyanna back running her hand through Liyanna's long dark hair, Ella declined, "I am fine, I don't want to go to that Psychic's place with a full stomach. What happens if something weird happens and I all of a sudden vomit, that would be so gross and a waste of your mom's delicious roti."
"Alright then Elle, let's just go, Janise couldn't come with us, she had to find a sitter for the boys and agreed to meet us at Sweet Pan. For now, let's go to that crazy woman's house."
"Yeah let's go so we can eat some of Claire's bunuelos."
Happily looking up from her childhood girl bestie to her hypothetical older brother who waved at the two saying, "Hey Ella, you ready to go?"
"Yes." Ella moved from Liyanna's arm and gave a hug to Daniel before saying, "Let's get going, I need to ask her some questions."
Beginning to walk to Alena's shop, Ella and the two were catching up about what they were going to do for the rest of the day, their normal coffee orders, and other miscellaneous things. Stopping in front of a purple hut with an outlandishly large sign, the group looked surprised but the person waiting for upfront was more surprising.
"Kennedy?"
As the familiar socialite turned around she just looked at the group and scoffed,
"Look what we have here, aren't you supposed to be resting Estella Linares? Being pushed off a dock is no simple walk in the woods. Why aren't you in a cast!?"
"How did you know I fell?"
Kennedy who was about to lie got cut off by Liyanna who explained, "Kennedy called the Coast Guard and got security to chase the men, but they escaped."
