With sharp gaze eyeing from afar, Changmin watches the person that they are tasked to take down. It was the city's governor, which happened to be Kim Sunwoo and Kim Sunhee's grandfather.
It was hard on Changmin's side since Sunhee interests him that much and he truly despise one of her family member. If he would harm her grandfather, then she'll also be in pain. But if Changmin would find out that Sunhee knows what her grandfather is up to, then it will be the end for the said family─including Sunwoo.
"That's it," Changmin mumbled before spitting out the chewing gum that has been on his mouth for almost half an hour. "Withdrawing on the bank for the nth time. What a fucking shameless bastard."
"He truly is." Hyunjae commented from behind the latter as he is almost finished on setting up the sniper. "Where should I shoot him?" He asks after, getting into position as he peeked through the scope.
The governor was standing outside the bank with a bodyguard on his side, waiting for the car to pick them up. Changmin's gaze got sharper as he got the idea on where to shoot the old man.
"Shoot him on whatever leg you prefer," he tells Hyunjae. "I wanted to see him bleed and limp after."
Hyunjae nodded his head, mumbling an almost quiet apology to the Kim twins as he took the shot, the bullet piercing through the governor's left leg. "Not too bad," he hissed before clicking his tongue. "Great work today." He finished before disassembling the sniper.
Changmin let out a heavy sigh as he watched the people from below panicking on the governor who just got shot. "Let's go before the police even gets here." He tells Hyunjae as they exited the rooftop of the abandoned building that is a little far away from where the bank is."
As the two were getting out of the abandoned building, they were quiet. None of them spoke, but it was not awkward either. They both reached their getaway car that is secretly parked at the back of the building and Hyunjae immediately placed the sniper at the backseat before occupying the driver's seat. Changmin sat on the shotgun seat and made himself comfortable.
"Oh, by the way," Hyunjae began as he started the car engine. "How are you dealing with Sunhee? Do we get a thumbs up at that or what?"
"What can I do if he is dating Lee Juyeon anyway." Changmin responds nonchalantly.
"Hmm, I see," Hyunjae hums. "We are getting a little less violent these days."
"I'd still cut his head off," Changmin clarifies. "As well as Ju Haknyeon─that bastard ruined everything."
'Oops, I was wrong.' Hyunjae thought to himself as he drove the car at normal speed.
"I'll find the right time for that work to be done." Changmin added, making Hyunjae bite his lower lip.
"Do you despise Juyeon that much?" Hyunjae asks the latter.
"No," Changmin quickly responds. "I just hate the thought of him dating Sunhee. I was about to shoot my shot, but it got wrecked. Kevin did not even tell me that Juyeon already likes Sunhee for a long time. He's been staying on that apartment with Juyeon, yet he never spoke a thing when I told you all that I like Sunhee."
"I never knew that Kevin lives together with Juyeon and that he's friends with the twins," Hyunjae lies. "Nonetheless, Kevin is a big help since we got more connections on the governor through the twins."
Changmin only sat silently after what Hyunjae said. He agrees that the latter has a point. Kevin doesn't have to do something with his interest on Sunhee.
"Maybe you could set aside your feelings for Sunhee just for a while," Hyunjae suggested as he took a turn on the right, gripping the steering tighter. "It might be a distraction for you if you keep thinking about that. Why don't we take a break for a while since we've done our part, yeah?"
With that, a small smile was drawn on Changmin's lips, making his dimple to pop out. "You're right," he says. "Maybe I need to unwind for a bit."
"Atta boy!" Hyunjae exclaims. "That's the Changmin that I adore. No pressure, just vibin'. You gotta live that inside you again."
"Am I doing too much?" Changmin asks Hyunjae.
The drive finally led them to the countryside with their secret lair not so far away ahead. Hyunjae increased his speed as there are barely passing vehicles on the countryside road.
"You think and do too much, Changmin," Hyunjae finally responds. "It just causes for you to think and do such things that shouldn't be done. Just like what you did to Sunhee─I am not talking shit about you, but what you did on her is completely out of hand."
Again, Changmin went silent.
"Whatever you are planning to do just because you wanted to have Sunhee, always keep in mind that never cause something that would harm you and the people around. If it's not for you, then let it go. Everything has its right time to happen."
Hyunjae's words ringed on Changmin's ears. The latter was right, everything has its right time to happen.
But who is Changmin to follow if he is a devil in disguise with a cute facade?
