"It is now confirmed that the governor's grandchildren do not have any further connection with him except on their bloodline," Sangyeon spoke with all eyes on him. "Still, Kevin has to be with them for some purpose."

"Pretty cool for us now." Yeosang muttered, earning a chuckle from Mingi beside him.

Hyunjae had one of his eyebrow raised, lips pushed together on a thin line with his head hung low. He got a call from Haknyeon right after the time Changmin met Sunhee, and it was such a bad news for him that Sunhee told Changmin something about her grandfather.

"Are we good now?" Kevin asks Sangyeon. "I gotta get back as soon as possible since I told them that I won't take long."

Sangyeon smiled towards Kevin and motioned for the latter that he is free to go. "Don't forget what I told you, Kev."

"Roger that, boss." Kevin chuckled and left with a goodbye to the other men.

Some of them already stood up from their seat and got to do whatever they are planning to do for the rest of the day─except for Hyunjae who remained still on his seat.

Thoughts of worry would not leave his head. He wouldn't want to disappoint Haknyeon and put the twins in danger just because he did not do well.

"Too occupied, Lee Jaehyun?"

The cold air and whisper on his ear made Hyunjae to jolt up from his seat, a chill traveling down his spine as he does so. He found the culprit with trembling gaze with his mouth apart slightly.

"You scared the shit out of me, Park Seonghwa." Hyunjae breathed out of relief after seeing the latter standing behind the couch where he previously sat. "Why are you even whispering like that on my ear? You sounded like a lost soul."

The latter only looked at Hyunjae, eyes blank that you could not even read them. That was the time when Hyunjae realized that Seonghwa has something serious to say.

Before anything else, Seonghwa looked around, making sure that there's only two of them before saying, "You better be doing right on setting things up between the two parties."

Seonghwa's words rang on Hyunjae's ears, making him realize that the latter knows that he is up to something.

"I have my eyes on everything, Lee Jaehyun. If you mess up, I would not hesitate to speak up to others about this."

"You're not gonna do something about this?" Hyunjae chuckled in disbelief. "This ain't you."

That made a smirk to form on Seonghwa's lips. "I mean, if you won't mind. You are my main focus for a while now."

"Stalker."

"If that would make you feel better then." Seonghwa jokingly says before his face turned serious once again. "Remember what I told you and that is the only thing I can do to help. The other guys are no joke and you know that. Best of luck to you and Kevin." He finishes, giving a single tap on Hyunjae's back before walking away casually.

It was indeed a relief for Hyunjae, knowing that Seonghwa speaks secretly almost everything that he knows. But he shouldn't be feeling comfortable about it since he almost got caught for some moment before.

Hyunjae got out of his thoughts when his phone suddenly rang. He immediately picked up the call and ran into some corner where no one would hear him. He made sure that the area is clear before speaking.

"Hak? Is everything alright?" He asks Haknyeon through the phone.

"What is this? You said you would do everything to protect them! Why is this happening?!"

Feeling himself trembling, Hyunjae tried to calm down himself despite Haknyeon speaking with a shaky voice full of rage. "I need you to calm down for a bit since your voice is making me feel things." He tells the younger.

"Sunwoo was fucking abducted! Kevin was shot! And I almost got killed! Luckily, Sunhee wasn't with us when it happened!"

That was too much for Hyunjae to process, but Kevin getting shot puzzles him. Kevin just left a few minutes ago, not even half an hour. If it was one of them, why would they shot Kevin?

"Was Kevin being shot intentional?" asked Hyunjae. He needs to know if it was or not. "And where did this happen?"

"We happened to meet Kevin by the countryside. He was riding his motorbike and a gray car that was tailing him stopped in front of us. Two men got out of the car and forcefully dragging Sunwoo inside the car. I tried to help but one of them tried to stab me into the head but I dodged it." Haknyeon's voice seemed to calm down a bit, but it was still shaky. "Kevin then took out a gun, but he was shot first and got hit on his lower abdomen. Those sick bastards took the chance and got Sunwoo inside the car and drove away."

"Have you seen the faces?"

"I know one of them, real shit."

That made Hyunjae to bite his lower lip. "Tell me who it is and where they are headed."

"Heading deeper towards the countryside," Haknyeon softly spoke. "Jung Wooyoung was one of the men."

Hyunjae's vision was seeing white after hearing Wooyoung's name. This can't be it.

"Hey, everyone! Look who we got!"

That was another kill for Hyunjae. It was Wooyoung's voice that echoed inside the building.

"Jae? Are you still damn on the line?"

"Jung Wooyoung is here..."

"Hyunjae, please do something─"

"I'll come back at you later. I'll handle this one on my own." He tells the latter as he ended the phone call.

Hyunjae immediately headed towards where Wooyoung's voice came from. The other guys were already there, a face of victory drawn on their faces.

"Isn't this a good catch?" Wooyoung giggles, gripping Sunwoo by the hair, hands tied and body weak.

"Easy to catch, at least." Kim Hongjoong speaks beside Wooyoung. "And oh, I caught some traitor out there."

"Kevin?"

Everyone's eyes dropped on Sangyeon at the way Kevin's name left his mouth.

"He's to immersed on his task that he even formed a real bond between the twins." The leader added. "Might as well deal with him after this little one right here."

Despite being physically weak, Sunwoo forced his head to look up and pierced his gaze on Changmin who is looking at him playfully. He wanted to speak, but decided not to.

Meanwhile, Hyunjae tried his best to not show any emotion despite being scared. He needed to get Sunwoo out as soon as possible.

Little did Hyunjae know, Seonghwa was secretly looking at him all the time. Maybe he has something to do today.
