Love Where you Least Expect it

New Years Resolutions

The days passed by really quickly. I spent almost all my time with Chase. We acted a lot like a lovey dovey couple. We went bowling, We also went to the beach and Chase was being all protective and that made him cuter! Then we went to the museum the other day and just had fun.

Now it's New Year's Eve and Chase was hanging out at my house. My mom and dad went out for a trip to Denmark for a weird convention for something I totally forgot about. My parents gave Chase permission to stay over because they trust us and stuff. Chase's parents are also giving his permission so all izz well ( a/n if you dont know what movie that came from, its from 3 idiots. It's a really good movie! you should try it!).

"Sooo! What do you want to do?" Chase asked me.

"How about we cook some dinner and some snacks for New Years and invite some people over?" I asked.

"Sure! Are your parents ok with this?" Chase asked me.

"Wait! Let's ask them." I grabbed my phone and texted my parents.

Hey mom! Can I invite some friends over for new years? Its just going to be a little get together.

Ok, but remember the rules and remember to clean up after yoursleves!

"She said yes!" I exclaimed.

"Okay! Umm, who do you wanna call over?" Chase asked me.

"How about Leah and Darcy and two of your male friends so we can set them up." I told him.

"Okay, sure. Great idea!" With that, he walked off to the telly and started to call our friends over.

I then got started with the snacks and appetizers and finger food and what not, then on the main dish, and finally the punch and drinks.

After I finished with all the food and drinks, I saw Chase on the couch watching football.

"Okay, I'm done with the food." I announced.

''What did you prepare?''

"Come look for yourself.''

While he went to look at the food, I went to get ready. I got on a cute dolly laced dress and then went downstairs to see Chase there ogling the food.

This is what I made:

- Cheese straw

- buffalo wings

-bacon and cheese stuffed chicken

- Fried cheese nuggets

- My famous fried chicken

-cheese and chicken empanadas

-homemade pizza

-Homestyle ham and cheese pockets

-Ice tea

-milk tea

''They are gonna be here any second now,'' he told me "I didn't know that you can cook.''

'Well, I got bored at my granny's house whenever I used to visit so she used to teach me how to cook.'' I responded sadly.

"Where's your granny now?'' he asked with his mouth filled with buffalo wings.

"Up in heaven,'' I said vaguely

''Oh, I'm so sorry!'' he exclaimed and paused from chewing further.

''It's okay, you didn't know.''

As if on cue the doorbell rang and I opened the door to very happy faces. Leah, Darcy, Anderson and  Patrick  were at my doorstep and I welcomed them in.

For the rest of the night, we spent it laughing and playing games and being all childish.

We played dare or dare.

"Darcy, I dare you to kiss Patrick on the lips for 1 minute,"' Chase said to Darcy. She got up and went over to Patrick and kissed him for longer than a minute. Then she sat next to him and they both had weird expressions on their faces. Well, they were actually just smiling really widely that it looked slightly unnatural.

''Anderson, I dare you to tell Leah your honest thoughts about her,'' Darcy dared Anderson with her hand linked with Patrick.

"Leah, I think that you're really amazing and I have secretly liked you for a long time," he admited with a sheepish smile on his face.

"I have liked you for a long time, too.''  Leah responded and they both shared a lovey dovey moment so we all decided to give them their privacy.

Chase and I then went to the balcony I had in my room and he hugged me from behind. 

''I love you, Avery,'' he said sincerity evident in his voice.

''I love you, too, Chase,'' I said as I looked up at him. 

We looked at each other until he was leaning in to me and then our lips conected and I felt as if I were in Nirvana. Then as our lips were dancing with each other, fireworls went off and we watched them in utter bliss. 

''HAppy new year Avery'' he whispered in my ear

''HAppy new year Chase'' I said 

At this time I knew that I love Chase, no, I'm in love with him and I know that this year is not only a start of a wonderful year but a start of a new year with Chase. I know there will be some hurdles coming our way but I know that we'll get through it together. 

After the fireworks display, we walked back in and spent the rest of the night in each other's arms.
