Los Ángeles, 2026

It's been almost a week since Josephine told Laura about Sofía. Since that moment, she is trying to repeat to herself several times a day "I have a daughter". Laura, who has seen Josephine a couple more times this week, says she has made another progress by recognizing she had postpartum depression, although Jo knows it doesn't justify all what happened. The road ahead is still long and it won't be easy.

Once again, for the third time this week, Josephine is with Laura.

- I thought I would have more time to get used to the idea... - The blonde tells while walking around the room.

Josephine did not think that Inanna would give her Hero's address: Crosby, Liverpool - England. When they met six days ago for the table read, she realized where is Inanna's real loyalty and it isn't with her. But somehow, yesterday she got from her a handwritten note with an address.

She immediately left the movie's first rehearsal at lunch time and spent the following hours walking through Crosby's streets. Well, just in Google Maps. She read several times descriptions of the town on Wikipedia and memorized the route by train and car from Liverpool's airport to Crosby. Josephine also searched for every flight company who had flys from Los Ángeles to Liverpool and looked for plane tickets. With lot of braveness she entered all her credit card information to book the flight, but on the last "accept" button, a cold sweat washed over her and made her close the laptop. She didn't sleep much that night.

After a long night, here she is, in her psychologist's clinic trying to comprehend why she didn't book the flight.

- You're saying it yourself, Josephine. - Laura wants Jo to reason about it by herself. - You had hardly said out loud that you have a daughter, whom you have never seen. Suddenly you find yourself with the possibility of seeing her and you get scared.

And it's scary. It produces her panic Sofía's reaction. Who knows what has Hero told her about her mother, or if she even knows of her existence. Jo is anguished by Hero's reaction and it is not clear if she prefers it to be hate or indifferent. She is scared about what can happen later, if she becomes part of their lifes or if someone discovers what happened six years ago. She feels nauseous just with those thoughts and she is definetely not prepared to confront it yet.

- Hero wouldn't have given Inanna permission to tell me where they are if he is to slam the door in my face, right?... Or maybe yes. Maybe he wants revenge on me live. - Jo speaks so fast that it's a bit difficult to follow the conversation.

- I just know him because of what you have told me. But, do you really think he is that kind of person? - Laura answers with a calm and slow tone to counteract the other girl's nervousness.

Josephine stops walking. No, she doesn't think so. She would never have thought that of Hero from the year 2020, and it is difficult to think that a person can change to that extreme.

- And to her? How do I explain it to her? - She finally sits defeated.

- I don't know, Josephine. - Laura's voice is not judging, but she can't offer her a magical solution either. - You will have to see yourself there, in the situation and meet her. Every kid is a different world, besides, you don't know what they have told her about you... You can always wait some more time.

Half an hour later, when she gets out from the clinic, Josephine doesn't have it much clear than before. Except for one thing: no matter how many times she thinks about it, she won't know what to do until she has them in front of her.

On the parking lot, she grabs her phone and calls her assistant.

- I need you to book next flight to Liverpool, England for me. Today, if there is any.

That way, Josephine won't be able to back out before buying the ticket. Now she just needs to find the courage to get on the airplane.
