THIRD PERSON ::
after spending more time at the grocery store than needed, i finally arrived home with a happy luke.
he had gotten new barbies. he had been wanting them for a while, so michael finally stepped in and bought him two girls and one boy barbie.
"baby, put your new toys away, it's time for dinner." michael exclaimed.
"but- it's time for their pageant!" luke said, holding up his two girl barbies and showing michael.
"their pageant can still be held after dinner, come on." michael said, tugging on luke's hand.
"no daddy, i want to play longer! i not hungry." the younger boy said, getting out of michael's grip.
"luke robert. put the toys away now, don't make me ask again." michael sternly said, not taking it anymore.
luke didn't like the idea of putting his toys away, he was mad at his daddy. instead, he threw the barbies across the room and stomped his foot on the ground.
"no! i want to pl-." luke started, before getting cut off and picked up by michael.
"that's it. no more toys for the rest of the night." he said, carrying the younger boys body over his shoulder, and up the stairs.
"put me down! i'll be a good boy! i promise!" luke said, banging his fists on michael's back.
"nope." michael said, putting him down in his crib. "i'll be back when you've thought about your actions."
and with that, michael left, closing the bedroom door that belonged to luke. the younger boy screamed and screamed, rattling the bars of his crib, only wanting to play.
michael hated it for luke. but now he had no distractions to make dinner, and luke would think about what he had done.
as michael cooked, he noticed the younger boys cries turn into soft sobs, making michael smile in relief.
"i think he is done." michael said, putting down the freshly made plates with dinner on them.
he walked up the stairs and into luke's bedroom, eyeing luke.
his curls were all in his face and his poor cheeks were as red as a tomato, tears stains visible.
"are u done now?" michael asked, the younger boy quickly nodding his head.
"what do u have to say?"
"i'm sorry daddy. i won't be bad anymore. pinky." luke said, holding out his pinky.
michael slightly smiled, going to link his pinky to luke's before picking him up and out of the crib.
luke didn't hesitate to curl into michael's chest, clinging on to his daddy.
"are u tired, baby?" the older boy cooed to luke, as he sleepily nodded from being worn out after his tantrum.
"i know u are, let's eat and we can lay down, okay?" michael asked, kissing luke's forehead.
"okay daddy."
and so they did that, eating the mac n cheese and chicken tenders michael had made, successful with yet again a happy luke.
after eating, they both went to sleep, cuddled into each other.
after they played barbies together, of course.
