a/n: has anyone else seen the concept videos for ateez comeback?!! it's so beautiful and I AM SO EXCITED! i swear, ateez have the most unique concepts ever. no one is doing it like them :) though i didn't see mingi in the concept photos or concept videos and it's probably because he's taking another break. i just hope he knows that atinys are here for him and love and support
him so much. he's truly best boy🥺❤️

it had been a few days and san realized wooyoung was still avoiding him.

they were all in the dance class practicing for the performance coming up.

this also meant that wooyoung was also there in the room.

while they were suppose to be taking a 10 minute break, san looked over and saw that wooyoung was still practicing hard

he stared at him for a minute or too.

he also knew that since wooyoung had a solo in their performance, he was practicing a lot more.

"hey"
san looked up to see minho walking towards him

"hey"
san said back sighing

minho handed him a water before also sitting down beside san on the floor opening his own water

san said a small "thank you" with minho nodding before minho decided to ask something that had been on his mind

"what is going on between you and wooyoung?"
minho asked

san looked up and ran a hand through his hair

"nothing i guess? he's still avoiding me"
san said

"why?"

"i don't know min. ever since that night at your place where jongho dared me to y-you know"
san got flustered a bit before continuing

"he has been hardly talking to me and trying his best to avoid eye contact with me."

san finally looked to minho who was smirking

"he may be overthinking it"
minho said

"overthinking what?"
san asked

"i don't know. just overthinking the thought that you might have kissed him"
minho said shrugging

"i wouldn't have in the first place. i'm
not like that."
san said

"i don't know then my friend. try talking to him about it."
minho said

"everytime i go to talk to him, he says a few words and then puts his headphones in."
san said rubbing his face with his hands.

"BREAK IS OVER"
mrs. jeong said

"get in your places!"
she said clapping

everybody quickly got up and into their positions

minho patted san on the shoulder and said
"just don't worry about it. i'm sure everything is fine."

"i guess. thanks"

minho then ran to his spot

san looked at wooyoung once more before also getting into his spot.

he sighed trying to figure out why wooyoung was avoiding him.

after dance class, seungmin and wooyoung walked to the cafeteria

"oh i forgot to tell you but i got the job at the café!"
seungmin said excitedly

"omg really?! i'm so proud of you! congratulations"
wooyoung said in shock and then side hugged seungmin

"thank you"
seungmin said and smiled.

wooyoung hummed back in response

"when do you start?"
he asked

they stood inline at the counter and seungmin replied by saying

"next week, they want me to start on monday so i can have the week to learn everything and get use to the schedule"
seungmin said

"hmm that's cool. you're gonna be really tired though."
wooyoung said worryingly

"don't worry woo, i'm getting paid. that's all i care about. plus i'll be working alongside jeongin and he'll be teaching me how to make drinks and such"

wooyoung nodded and said
"okay that makes me feel better that you'll be working with jeongin. just try to get as much rest as possible"

"i will"
he said in return

they reached the counter before telling the lady want they wanted to order.

after paying for the food, they went to sit at a table

they heard a familiar laugh and looked to see hyunjin and changbin walking together

"oh, how's that going with hyunjin?"
wooyoung smirked

seungmin blushed and said
"what do you mean?"

"you know, have you made any moves?"
he smirked again

"shut up. of course not. he can never know i like him"
seungmin looked around and saw that hyunjin and changbin were still walking
and were heading for the library.

wooyoung took a drink of his soda before saying

"at least you're finally admitting that you like him. that's a move"

seungmin just made a sarcastic face and held up his middle finger to his best friend

wooyoung just laughed

"oh how are you and san?"

wooyoung stopped laughing and his eyes went wide

"just fine. everything is fine"
wooyoung said hurriedly

seungmin raised his eyebrow before asking
"you're still avoiding him, aren't you?"

"was it that easy to tell?"

"it's written all over your face"
seungmin said

"i'm sorry. i just can't. it's awkward"
wooyoung said pouting

"it's because you're making it awkward. just talk to him and go on with life."
seungmin replied.

"jongho shouldn't have gave that dare to him."
wooyoung said

"woo, i promise it's okay. the more
you don't talk to him, the more he will
think he did something wrong"
seungmin took a bite of his french fries. 

"plus, you're talking to jongho and he's the one that gave the dare"

wooyoung sighed
"you're right. i don't know. what do i talk to him about though?"

"just casually talk to him, i guess. talk to him like you do to me?"
seungmin said giving the rest of his fries to wooyoung

"thanks. but here's the thing, you're my life long best friend, san is my crush"
wooyoung said and whispered the last part

"you're admitting you have a crush on him"
seungmin smirked

"don't use my words back on me"
wooyoung laughed at his friend.

with that, the two boys finished their lunch making peaceful talk.
