Hiccup stepped outside with Toothless right behind him heading into the village square. They walked together down the hill and to the forge. Gobber stood working on a sword made of pure iron. " Hiccup, your 17 you need to find another job for yourself soon!"
Hiccup sighs, Gobber must have hit his head on the ceiling again.

"Gobber, I'm right here, there is no need to shout. Did you hit your head again?" Gobber stopped pounding on his newly made sword and looked in puzzlement for a minute then,

" You know, I think your right I did, didn't I?!" Gobber shouted. Then began to laugh merrily and continued to pound on his sword.

" Again with the right here" Hiccup groaned. He continued into the forge heading for his study area. He made his way to the back. Hiccup looked back and motioned Toothless to stay outside, not wanting anything broken. He made his way to his study bench and sat down with a sigh. It has been two weeks and two days now. He didn't want to make anything. He remembered the first time Star came into the forge.

--------------------------
" You know, I really don't want to go in there."

" Come on, it will be fun." Hiccup insisted.

" I don't think it will be, heck! I'm gonna burn the place down!" Star retorted. Hiccup began to laugh. He had found it funny that every time he tried to get Star to try something new, she thinks she will ruin everything.

" No you won't, now come on." Hiccup motioned for her to follow him into the forge. She followed reluctantly. Dragging her feet. Once they had entered, Hiccup heard bangs and clashes behind him and he whipped around worried. He looked up and burst out into laughter. There, clawing at a support was a small gold dragon that held on for it's life, shaking. " Are you gonna come down on your own?" The little dragon shook her head. Still shaking.

Hiccup laughed and walked over to the other side of the forge, grabbing a small stool so he could grab the dragon and pull her back down. He struggled to drag the stool back to where the dragon was hanging. When he got there he stood it up and stepped up. He laughed at the dragon still trembling in fear. He reached up and grabbed her under her wing and pulled gently. She stiffened. He kept pulling till he couldn't pull any harder.

" Come on Star, you need to come down." Hiccup gave a giant heave and yelped as the stool beneath him fell on its side. He gasped as he dangled from the dragon above him, still clawing at the support. " Star! Come down!" He yelped. Then after close consideration to this idea, he yelled, " Wait!! I change my mind! Don't-" It was to late. The dragon phased back to a small 14 year old girl and she fell along with the 5 year old boy. Landing with a thud, they both looked at each other and burst out laughing.

------------------------------

Hiccup sighed at the memory, then, suddenly, he remembers something. He jumps from his seat. Running out the forge, with Gobber yelling and asking him where he is going he answers, " I'll be back!!"

He runs through the village square, passing confused viking faces. He runs up the hill to his house, stumbling and running on all fours then getting back upright to not slow down his pace. Finally he gets to his front door, swinging it open, resulting in a loud thud as it hits the side of his home, he runs up the stairs. Reaching his desk, he rips open a bottom drawer. In the bottom, under a special sealed compartment he made just for this item, he sees it.

A small whistle, about the size of a quarter round. Pure gold, a carving of a dragon form this masterpiece. Attached to an unbreakable chain, this whistle was made by Star. She had told Hiccup when she gave it to him, if he was ever in trouble, to just blow. She would be there in a matter of seconds. At least that's what she had told him.
