Upon seeing Cade and Sam rushing out the training sphere, everyone else was rushing into crisis mode. Rucker, Ace, and John all began talking and discussing strategy. He walked with Xavier back to her room, and as much as he wanted to stay with her, he needed to talk to someone else. Someone who usually gave him good advice that also wasn't Cade.

He picked up his phone and scrolled through his contacts until he found the one he wanted and called him.

"Hello?" a voice said from the phone.

"Hey Carson. I need a favor from you," Justin told him.

"What is it?"

"Could we meet somewhere? Like maybe the Mandeville Lakefront?"

"Yeah sure. When?"

"In like 15 minutes," Justin suggested

"Got it. I'll see you there," Carson ended the call. Immediately he pulled on his jacket and ran to the lakefront, putting his speed to good use.

While waiting for Carson, he admired the houses that lined the opposite side of the street. They were nice, a bit big for him, but still nice. He thought about what life he could lead with Xavier in a house like that before shaking the thought out of his head.

"Ah there you are," a voice called out to him. Sure enough it was Carson. He could spot his bright blonde hair anywhere, "Damn you got here quick. Can you teleport now or something?"

"It's more of the 'or something'," Justin said, pulling his hand out of his pocket. He vibrated his hand to show off his new found power, and Carson stared at him in disbelief.

"Oh," was all he could manage before Justin pulled him back into reality.

"Look, that's just one of the many weird ass things that have happened this week. I'd tell you all about it but I called you here because I need some advice," Justin explained.

"Alright, talk to me," Carson said sitting down at the table Justin was standing at.

"So you know how I mentioned that girl Xavier to you awhile ago?"

"Mhm," Carson said, letting his friend talk.

"Well I think I've gone from a slight crush to falling hard. I mean, she's always on my mind. Anytime I think of something, I think about how nice it would be with her around. Like, for example, I saw those houses over there and thought about what a life would be like with her while living there," Justin explained.

"Damn, you're down bad huh?" Carson said. Justin put his head in his hands in response.

"What the hell am I supposed to do?" Justin asked through his hands.

"I think you just gotta tell her how you feel. Just, find a moment alone and tell her everything. Don't hold anything back," Carson advised.

"But what if she doesn't feel the same? I'll just end up ruining everything," Justin said to his friend. After a moment of silence, Carson began, "Well I think you have to tell her no matter what. You can't just sit there and think 'Oh what if' you know? You just gotta take the jump and see where you land."

"Yeah that's what it seems like. So, how are you and Shelby doing?" Justin asked. It had been awhile since he talked to him and he wanted to catch up.

"Well get this. Shelby's actually pregnant," Carson said excitedly.

"Are you serious? That's awesome!" Justin replied.

"Yeah. If it's a girl we're gonna name her Maya, but if it's a boy we're gonna name him Grey," Carson said.

"Damn...that's just crazy honestly. I never thought I'd see the day," Justin said. Their conversation was cut short by the sounds of screams as bystanders ran away from something. Justin stood up and looked in the direction of what they were running from and couldn't believe his eyes.

A portal was open in the distance, with the Overlord's beasts spilling out from it, killing and eating those around them.
