Everyone was still alive, thank god. They all walked over to where he was, Frost and Justin needing to be supported as they walked.

"Well, looks like we won," Cade said, exhaling from exhaustion.

"Hey, good job guys. High fives all around, yeah. Let's just get home and then we can celebrate," Gale said.

Cade opened a portal and they all entered, appearing right back in the command center.

"Ay here they are, y'all did fuckin' great," Ace yelled at them. People came up individually to congratulate them, but ultimately made it as quick as possible so they could rest up from the long battle they had just participated in.

"Cade, I hate to do this now, but meet me in my office in a little bit. I wanna talk with you," Sam told him. Cade nodded in response, letting the rest of them go back to their rooms to rest or go to the medbay to get checked up on. Cade made his way to the office, walking in and shutting the door behind him.

"You did good. I was worried for a second but when you started pushing him off you I knew you had him," Sam said.

"How'd you see it?" Cade asked.

"Satellite," Sam said, "Did he give you anything, any names, places, anything at all that could mean bad news for us?"
"He said a few names, like Zaks and Fulcrum, but nothing other than that," Cade informed him. Seemingly satisfied, Sam sat down at his desk before saying, "Look Cade, I know what you just went through was difficult. That's why I'm gonna give you and your team some time off to both celebrate and get your minds right, and I think you'll enjoy it. That's all I wanted to say. Now, go see your wife and daughter."

Cade nodded at his superior and exited the office. He could've lost everything that he knew and loved if things didn't go exactly as they did. Choosing not to think about what could have happened, he got in his car and turned it on, ready to enjoy his vacation. Tomorrow was another day.
