She sighed, dropping the moving box to the ground as she looked over her new room. It was light pink, with flower wallpaper and her own bathroom, a vanity, a full sized bed, and a bay window. She hated it. She hated it here. They were in a the middle of nowhere, a small town called Riverdale where she was all alone. She was tired of moving. All she wanted was to settle down somewhere, have a home for more than a year. But, her parents liked moving, so she had to deal with it. It might have been nice though, to have a permanent home and school, and to make actual friends for once.

Taking a breath, the girl looked around her room once more. It was big and nice with tons of floor space, but it was sickeningly pink. She didn't hate pink, she was just tired of it. She was tired of everything in her life. But there was nothing she could do about it. Until she turned 18, she was stuck in a pink, perfect world.

Suddenly, there was a knock on her door. She turned around, greeted by her mom.

"Elizabeth, sweetie, how is it?" Alice Cooper asked her youngest daughter.

"The room?"

Her mom nodded.

Betty continued, "It's a room. It's not home yet, but I'll make it one. I'm fine, Mom. I know that you're worried about me, but I'll survive. I've been through far worse than this small, little town."

Alice nodded, smiled a perfect, loving smile, then left her prized  daughter in her room.

Betty watched her mother leave, then opened her moving box to begin unpacking. She was already dreading the year that her family was going to spend in this little town.

Thank you for reading this chapter! I'm sorry that these past chapters have been kinda filler chapters, but we'll get to a plot soon! Also sorry if this sucks, I know I'm not the best writer.
