Chapter Two

- I don't really have a friend with that name anymore. She died a year ago. If she was dead for this long she should remain dead for good. - the sentence was an arrow, the one which flew directly to the girl's heart. But she was well aware she deserved that arrow.

Everybody in the room widened their eyes in disbelief. It wasn't awkward anymore, it was scary. The bald guy felt his temporal artery beating like crazy and decided to speak.
- Oi, Tsukishima, I swear if this is one of those stupid jokes of yours I.. - he shouted but was interrupted by the greenish haired boy
- Oi Tsukki! You bastard what did you just say!! Take that back immediately!! - his scream drove away every single person in the room in further disbelief. This was the side of him no one ever saw. Not even her who used to spend almost everyday with him. Not even the boy he was talking to. But before anything escalated she reacted.
Her hand approached the boy's arm and as she placed her touch on him, shivers ran down his spine. The touch was even more assuring then herself, her voice, so he just stared at her blankly not being able to believe anything.
- Kei - kun has his justified reasons to be angry, everyone! - she stated a small smile on her face
Every person in the room thought it was so genuine and was amazed how could she pulled that off after how harsh her friend was to her.
- We'll just need some time to figure out those problems, but I promise we won't bother you.' she promised.
'Right, Kei - kun?' - she looked at him smiling but he didn't even bother to react
- For now I would just like to meet you all and start this journey of yours that I just became a part of well! - she smiled
The gym went silent for a moment but then the bald guy decided to speak.
- Ahhh, what a drag. Tsukishima made it so awkward I couldn't even focuse on how gorgeous you are. - the bald guy said
- AND SHE NOWS ROLLING THUNDER - a short guy screamed - SHE IS PERFECT, TANAKA - SAN - he talked to the bald guy
- CAN YOU BE MY WIFE?!! - as he screamed those words his nape got hit by the silver haired guy beside him
- OY NISHINOYA! Stop scaring the girl!! - he demanded
- Alright boys let's go by the order! INTRODUCE YOURSELF! - the guy with brown hair shouted
- My name is Daichi Sawamura! I'm the captain! - guy shouted again
- Koshi Sugawara! Call me Suga! I'm the vice captain! - he smiled
- Asahi Azumane! I'm the ace! - the long haired guy said shyly.
- Yu Nishinoya! Call me Noya-san. OR EVEN YU SINCE YOU'RE GOING TO BE MY WIFE LIBERO - SAN! I'm the libero too!!! - he said full of the excitement but got hit in the head again
- Ryunosuke Tanaka! Wing spiker! - the bald guy said
- Chikara Enoshita! Wing spiker! - a cute guy behind the captain said
- Hisashi Kinoshita! Pinch Server - a brownish haired stated
- Kazuho Narita! Middle Blocker! - he said
- Tobio Kageyama. Setter. - a raven haired boy said peacefully
- AAAH! THE KING OF THE COURT IS HERE!! - The girl said excitedly
The boy seemed to get irritated by the nickname she just said so the girl decided to recover!
- I'm sorry for using some old nickname tho! I know no one really likes the nicknames - she smiled rubbing the back of her haid
- I just noticed that you were the only one whose focus wasn't bothered at all when I received the ball and I was wondering how are you so good and I don't know you from junior high, but I remember now! - she said cheerfully
The boy couldn't help himself but to get flustered. He avoided the eye contact so no one could notice.
- Thank you very much! - he bowed to her

As they finished your chat, the boy next to him bowed
- Shoyo Hinata!! Middle blocker! - he screamed

Then the silence continued since the remaining two players were her childhood friends so they didn't feel like introducing themselves. At least Yamaguchi. The blonde one didn't even want to look at her. But the she broke the silence.

- Oi Kei - kun, Tadashi - kun! You didn't tell me what positions you play now! - you said smiling
- Uh, I'm sorry Kagu - san! Tadashi said
- I'm pinch server... - he stopped waiting to see if the boy across him would talk, but nothing happened.
- Tsukki is a middle blocker! - he smiled in attempt to cover the anger in his friends golden eyes.

But even if he didn't tell her the position blonde played, she would know. It was his figure she admired when she entered the gym. She wondered just how much he advanced his game. She exited her thoughts so she could speak.
- I will introduce myself again since the first time wasn't so successful! - she smiled
- I'm Koharu Kaguya! You can call me Haru - san for short! I played libero since I started volleyball but last two years I spent being middle blocker. My coach wanted me to try offense since I was high and it turned out I was pretty good at it! So I usually play the position my team is comfortable the most! - she smiled as she concluded
The whole team stared at girl with admiration for a quick moment. Then the silence was broken again!
- I'm Kiyoko Shimizu! I'm the manager - a beautiful girl with glasses said
- And this is Hitoka Yachi! She's the one taking my role next year - she smiled as she introduced the blonde next to her who was to scared to introduce herself
- I'm Coach Ukai! Thank you for helping us with our practice! - he said
- Thank you for having me! - the redhaid said

Since the practice was already interrupted coach decided to let the new girl talk to guys for the rest of it. He said they could continue practicing after school. So the new girl was in the company as they talked about volleyball, their nationals, her experiences in junior high and everything else. They were wondering how she got invited to All Japan camp since it was only for high schoolers but she explained she was the youngest and she only got there because one of the coaches saw her play at the tournament and thought it would be a good idea to prepare her for the team as early as possible.

Later on Kageyama and Hinata helped Koharu get to her classroom and wished her good luck on her first day. The girl waited for the teacher outside the classroom as she was instructed so when the teacher came they both entered the classroom. And as teacher put away her things she stood next to her. All eyes were placed on her, she was beautiful. So the boys couldn't get more excited but the girls didn't seem to like her that much, especially in the next moment when the teacher said she should sit next to Kei. She didn't really liked herself for that since she knew how awkward it could get. It was probably a good thing Kei didn't want to look at her since she was under impression that if he looked and acted as usual the other girls would rip her apart.

Looks like he's still popular with girls, huh?

She thought for herself remembering how a bunch of other girls would hate her since they were so close and bunch of guys would hate Kei for that too. The only other friend they had beside themselves was Yamaguchi who was also their friend since they were young so he could understand that they were just friends and nothing more. Kei was always ignorant of girls, he didn't really like to be around them and he didn't really like the amount of them confessing to him. Not even a single one ever got his interest. On the other hand she was always nice with guys who had crush on her so even to she would refuse them they would still come bothering her again. Kei always told her she should just cut them off and it became so annoying being followed and stopped by one of her fans every single minute that even Tadashi agreed with Kei. But she just couldn't bring herself to not being nice.

As she sat next to him he just looked at her once, for the spilt second. She froze on the spot and couldn't bring herself to breath for the moment until a familiar voice behind Kei whispered.
- Oi, don't mind him! I don't even want to talk to him since he's like this! Do you want to have a lunch together? Later we could walk home together.' - Tadashi asked
It was so good at least one of them acted like nothing happened in school since that was what she needed. She was well aware they deserved an explanation but she didn't want to do it here so she hoped they could at least wait until they are alone.
She looked at the blonde who didn't seem to be bothered by what Yamaguchi said a moment ago so she decided to accept the offer since she didn't know anyone but she didn't want to eat or go home alone. In the back of her mind she hoped Kei would come along with them and even if he didn't talk she wouldn't mind. But he didn't even come.

Didn't even look at her for the entire day.

But she knew she has to keep going until he softens because he had every reason to be like that. And she knew that even tho he doesn't really show it off, he is kind and thoughtful, so he should forgive her. The only thing she needed to do was to be patient, just like she was taught.
