One year ago today Morgan went down on one knee for you, and asked you to marry him. It wasn't anything extravagant, it was exactly how you would have wanted it to happen. Just the two of you, at a secluded spot, hidden from the public eye. His eyes full of love and adoration, his smile bigger than you had ever seen before, his hands slightly shaking, it made you cry. Happy tears, but it still made you cry.

Now exactly one year later it's Morgan's turn to cry. The moment you walk into the room, wearing the most beautiful white dress he's ever seen, it feels like his whole world comes to a sudden stop. All he sees is you, just you. The way your eyes lock on his, the way your hand grasps your father's arm a little tighter, your head held high and your smile on full display for everyone to see. He feels himself tear up, this is all he ever wanted in life, all he ever dreamed of with you. You, it's always been you.

Your father hands you over to Morgan, while telling him to take care of his little girl. Morgan nods fervently, which makes your father smile in return. He kisses you on your cheek, before retreating back to his seat. "You're so beautiful, y/n," Morgan whispers to you. You smile back at him, squeezing his hands with yours softly. "You look so handsome, Morgan," you whisper back at him, meaning every word you just said. Morgan in a suit is something else, but Morgan in a wedding suit? That's out of this world.

"I can't believe you'll finally be my wife after this," Morgan says softly, looking around the room. "I can't wait for you to be my husband," you tell him, following his gaze around the room. All of your closest friends, and the few family members you still have are here. Morgan's teammates, which is quite a sight, his friends and family are also here.

Even though the both of you know a lot of people, you decided to keep the gathering small and personal. No press, just one photographer who will capture a few pictures here and there. Nothing fancy, nothing extravagant. Just Mo and you, and your closest family and friends.

The wedding ceremony goes by in a blur. Morgan and you both decided to write your own vows. It's soft and sweet, a sight of Morgan you'd like to see more of. Before you know it the vows are exchanged, the "I do" has been spoken and it's time to kiss your husband for the first time. Apparently you aren't the only one who's getting a bit impatient, because as soon as you hear the words, you can also hear Morgan loud and clear. "Finally," Morgan mutters, a little bit too loud.

Laughter erupts all around you, while you just chuckle at him. Before you can say anything to him, he dips you down and presses his lips onto yours. Whistling and cheering sounds from around the room, most of it probably coming from the Leaf's.

Morgan puts you back onto both of your feet, taking your hand in his. "Come on, wife. Let's get this party started!" You laugh at his excitement, while making your way down the isles again.

You know there's one more surprise today, and you're not sure how to feel about it. "Can you please tell me which song you've chosen for our first dance?" you beg Morgan again, for what feels like the 10th time today. He just shakes his head at you, kissing your forehead. "Nope, you just need to wait a little bit longer, y/n," he whispers into your ear. You almost groan out at his infuriating response, but decide it's better to go with the flow today. You're sure he picked something fitting.

You have no idea why Morgan wanted to keep the song the both of you would dance to as a newlywed couple a secret, but the second the first notes of "The Good Ones" sounds through the speakers you know why he did it. You know exactly why he kept it a secret, and you love him even more for it. This means the absolute world to you, you had no idea Morgan even remembered it. There's no way you can explain how much this song means to you.

You cover your mouth with your hand, trying to keep the tears at bay. Now is not the time to cry. "Thank you, Mo. Thank you so much." He rubs his thumb over the back of your hand, keeping you as close as possible to him, while still slowly dancing around the room. "Don't cry, love. It wasn't supposed to make you cry," he tells you softly, giving you a small smile.

There's no deeper meaning behind the song, but coincidental enough it played at some major events in your life, and obviously it reminds you of Mo. The fact that it now also played at your wedding gives a whole new dimension to it. Morgan can be so thoughtful, and it shows at this exact moment.

"You'll be an amazing husband, Mo. I'm sure of it," you tell him. You know that he's a bit insecure about all of this. It isn't that he doesn't want to marry you, but at times he feels like he won't be a good enough husband to you. He's not home as much as he would like, and if he's at home he's either sleeping or eating. You've told him countless of times that you love him no matter what. You support him in his career through thick and thin, and you'll gladly take 5 minutes with him over none at all.

Morgan looks at you, eyes filling with tears for the second time today. "I can't even tell you how much I love you, y/n," he says softly. You wipe his tears away with your thumbs. "I love you too, Morgan," you tell him. "Now, can you please kiss your wife?" you ask him cheekily. Morgan laughs, before cupping your face with both of his hands. "I'm going to kiss my wife for the rest of my life," he says, before his head dips down, claiming your lips with his for eternity.
