CAROUSEL

( note: i haven't been to a carnival in a long time so..)

"you guys can go ahead, i'll watch your stuff." everyone dropped off their bags and things with midoriya and he waved them off as they got into the line for the ride. today had been a good day for midoriya and his friends. summer had rolled around and nobody had anything else to do, so they all piled up in sero's car and took a ride down to the carnival. they spent their whole day on all kinds of rides, carnival food, and fun mini games. winning prizes and having fun with each other.

night fell upon them and this ride would be the final ride they'd get on before leaving for the day and remembering this day for a long time. this particular ride, however, was the one ride midoriya would miss because he'd admit that it was 'a bit too high' for him and he volunteered to stay back and take care of everyone's stuff.

he could find something to do close by while he waited, like a mini game or something but he decided on waiting. as he waited, a girl with pastel pink puffs for hair, and brightly colored clothes stood next to him. she was followed by some other people, who he guessed were her friends. she rushed them into the line as they handed her their stuff.

he didn't realize he had been staring at her until she spoke.

"take a picture, it'll last longer." she giggled. this girl was just a mere stranger but midoriya found himself quickly being drawn to her. he quickly looked away, not wanting to seem any more creepy than he was being.

"you're cute, what's your name?"

midoriya thought that she was cute as well, but that was a total understatement. he thought she was different in a good way. in a good way he liked and he didn't want to make a fool of himself.

"a-ah i'm izuku midoriya.. what's your name?" he slowly turned to her.

"i'm y/n." she held her hand out for him to shake and he took it. "nice to meet you."

"nice to meet you too." time flew by too quickly for midoriya. by the time the small conversation with the girl finished, everyone was getting off the ride including his friends and hers.

he watched her friends gather around her and that's when it hit him. 'i'll never see her again' he thought to himself. but little did he know, she was thinking the exact things he was thinking.

even though the both of them had fun that day, they left with so many regrets.
