I was listening to Alex on the dining table.

Saying I was shocked was an understatement. Not only did she really go there she even reconciled with her parents. This was not at all like Luna.

Is she plotting something? There is a high chance she is.

Luna was eating her dinner quitely while Alex was talking.

I couldn't help but glance in her direction from time to time.

She elegantly cut her steak and ate it. Luna wasn't sophisticated. She didn't even speak too loudly or yell like she usually does at the table.

She even said thank you to the maid!!!

''Oh dad did you know?mama is gwoing to the comwany stwtaing tommowow''

''What?'' I couldn't help myself, this was by far the biggest surprise. Luna hated working and buisness and responsibilities and hardwork, basically everything a decent adult human should be concerned about. So why would she go to the company?

Luna looked at me with narrowed eyes, then glanced at Alex and said with a big fake smile on her face, ''Why is that SO surprising dear husband'' she was pissed, I could see her clenching her jaw.

I guess I did react a bit too loudly. I was just really surprised. I mean Luna...working?

That's like sloths running.

''mmh hhm,,,, no it's just....uh um....'' I stuttered both Alex and Luna looked at me patiently waiting for an answer.

''I was just surprised you didn't tell me that's all mmh hmmm.....''

Luna gave me a suspicious look and then smiled said'' It's a small thing, I just didn't wanna concern you with it''

Her words didn't match her expression though and I could practically tell from just her expression what she really wanted to say was 'None of your buisness'

She totally wanted to say that to me but I saw her glance at Alex before speaking.

From when did she care about what would and wouldn't affect Alex?

I mimicked her big fake smile right back at her,

''mama and papa are really hawwy toway.'' The fake smile contest was interrupted by Alex, he was smiling broadly.

Come to think of it this was the first time we 3 has a meal together.

Luna looked at Alex and gave him a smile, a genuine one. I had never seen her smile so genuinely, especially at Alex, her eyes were full of love and affection for him.

I had never seen her interact like this with Alex. It was genuine and pure.

What had gotten into her??
