''...Ryan Osgard, I will hit you'' I said with a serious look turning around

''Fine with me, if that's what gets you to let me come with you'' he said and I rolled my eyes

I turned around and entered our home. whoa, 'our' I've gotten used to this world.

''Mommy's home'' I singsonged in a jokey way and lil dumpling came running towards me and jumped on me. I picked him up and twirled him around. I kissed his head

''Did you have a good day?'' I asked

''Mm-hmm, I made a dwawing of you me and dawwy at school'' he said grinning

''Really? show it to us''

I turned around and saw Ryan looking at us with a big smile on his face

''Dawwy'' lil dumpling called out. I put him down and he jumped on Ryan

Ryan picked him up too.

After the cute family scene, I went to my room and freshen up.

When I opened my room's door to go down to exit '' baah!!!''

Ryan jumped out of nowhere and screamed trying to scare me

''What are you doing?'' I asked with a blank face

I had 2 brothers in my past life, I have lived through a number of such pranks

''Damnit, how'd I not get you?'' he asked annoyed

''You'll never be able to scare or surprise me Osgard'' I said pushing my hair back and putting one hand on my hip

''I'll take you up on that challenge. '' he said with a smirk

''Guess what if you manage to scare or surprise me before mu buisness trip this weekend, you can come with me but if you don't you won't'' I challenged

''Challenge accepted'' he said and put out his hand. We shook on it.

We were having dinner when I decided I should tell lil dumpling now that I will be leaving

''So, um Alex you know how you go on a um a school trip every year?'' I asked

''Ya..'' he said looking up from his food

Ryan too looked up and gave me a smile which screamed let's see how you tell him this

Iglared at him

''So uh mommy too is going to have to go to Seattle for a few days'' I said, finally dropping the bomb

''Why? Cwan I cwome too?'' he asked looking worried

''Um..no..MOMMY has to kinda go alone, so you're going to have to stay with daddy'' I said

As my sentence progressed, Lil dumpling's face grew from worried to sad to on the verge of tears

''I hic..Wawa hic hic come too'' he was straight up crying now

I looked at Ryan for help '' I wawwa come too'' he said

Damn you, you handsome man, you look freaking cute

''I went to where lil dumpling was sitting

''I wawa come too'' he said

''I know honey, but mommy needs to work, I can't take care of you when I'm working, right? Then you'll be all alone. Mommy dosen't want you to be alone. Ok?''

''OK.'' he said rubbing his eyes

''I wiped his tears and patted his head '' Good boy''

I walked to my seat and smirked at Ryan

''tsk'' he clucked his tounge

After dinner and putting lil dumpling to sleep I was watching tv when Ryan plopped down next to me with a frown 

''Hahaha, You thought you could get to come through Alex huh? Hahaha'' I laughed

'' Don't get cocky now. Remember we still have the bet'' he said while glaring at me

''You can try but you won't succeed'' I said turning my attention back to the TV

''Whatcha watching?'' he asked

''Still deciding'' I said

''Wanna see a horror movie?'' he asked with a grin

He's trying to get me spooked up huh?

''Gladly, want to choose?'' I asked with a smirk

''Confident are we?'' he asked and picked a movie

The movie was scary enough, I was surprised at times but not enough to get a physical reaction out of me

Ryan on the other hand was hugging a pillow with his knees to his chest ''Ack!'' he screamed as the ghost came on the screen

I laughed. He looked at me and glared.

Like this the whole movie was over.

I stretched my arms and got up ''That was fun'' I said

''Fun?! You're a monster woman'' he exclaimed

''Oh, shut up. It wasn't that scary. You're overreacting''

''Over-huh what do you man over reacting, didn't you see how the ghost jumped on him out of nowhere?'' he said wide eyed

'' Yeah, that was surprising, his face was too funny when she did that'' I laughed remembering

''Phyco..I married a phycopath'' he mumbled

I rolled my eyes ''Yeah, Yeah. I'm going to sleep now. Want me to drop you off at your room?'' I teased

He got up, put his back straight ''hmph. I'll surprise you one day'' he said and took the pillow and walked towards his room.

I laughed at his childish behaviour and went to my room.
